“moment”
Have people’s vocabularies shrunken so much that they can’t help but use the word “moment” in every other sentence? Hosts, please work on this. Don’t turn into Michael Barbaro.
A Trump-Zelenskyy blow up, a spending bill, Anger at Musk
That’s it guy … YOUR FIRED!! (May I ask, by whose authority??) What!?? … don’t you know who I am?? … don’t you know where you are!??! I’M THE APPRENTICE!, and this is a REALITY TV SHOW - DAMNIT! - s.jxn - ga (some just refuse to let go, but not ‘sleepy joe’)
These are the news we want to hear!
Great job. Pls don't give up!
Excellent
Really shocking but seemingly fair reporting.
Thank all anyone help
🥰🥰🥰🥰
The Trump Tariff Flip Flop.
I can’t help but admire his business-sense, but like most big business, there’s also that corrupt-sense. And a while ago, recently, I had not realized that all this time, WE were actually ‘the cartel’. - s.jxn - ga 🤔🥸
Deep Reads Readers
Generally, I love y’all. I have some similar qualms as other reviewers, but I been with you since the beginning, listening to every episode and intend to continue. But one thing consistently tears me up: those great Deep Reads stories and most of the time they’re voiced by these readers from Noah. If they’re not AI, they sure sound like it. If they are, it shows. Takes me a good 10 minutes to sink past the voice and into the story. It is always, always, always better when the writer reads their own story.
Appreciative but…
Post teoría is great. Keep up the good work. I’m specifically writing to comment on the narrated stories. I really appreciate these stories. The only problem- the narration makes the stories feel less authentic, less connecting. I world much rather have the story read by the authors- their intros never have me desiring that someone else read their story. Their voice feels right. They understand their material. The narration of the story about the driver for prisoners feels to be the wrong tone for the subject matter. I appreciate the effort being made to create an experience with the narration, but i would prefer to hear the authors’ voices. That really connects me to them and their story.
Trans episode
Love post reports but for some reason on this topic they decided to ignore the data from the rest of the world banning these meds for minors because they cause more harm than good in all longitudinal studies that have been published. I know this is a majority left leaning pod but at least keep the relevant facts in there.
I dropped Amazon Prime…
…and kept my Washington Post subscription. And I’m glad I did. Your journalism is close to being nonpareil. But how can you do an entire debrief on the outcome of the 2024 general election without once mentioning voter suppression? The principal project of conservative megadonors over the last 50 years has been severely restricting access to voting. A project conceived in the ‘70s and enacted beginning in the ‘80s is bearing strange fruit today. Conservative megadonors getting Trump into office a second time — largely by attacking voting, restricting voting, preventing voting, and tossing out an unprecedented number of ballots even after they were cast — is openly a win for the old Confederacy. Are you so genteel that, to uphold the old myth of U.S. exceptionalism, “the beacon of democracy and free elections,” you will ignore the truth in the data staring us all right in the face?? The right to vote itself has been under attack across the U.S. since the 1980s. Getting the truth out to the public will require an act of selfless journalism … and I hope you will commit it!
Let’s hear it for the WaPo journalists!
During the election season, I’ve tuned in to this show regularly. I appreciate their thorough analysis and the array of journalists they bring in to speak to the subjects. The format has introduced me to a lot of strong voices at the Post. An episode I loved in particular was Elahe’s conversation about the excitement around Caitlin Clark. As someone who can just barely differentiate a basket ball from a baseball, I found the host and her guests’ humor and excitement contagious. Plus there was a welcome sense of joy and levity to the episode. The team is working hard at their jobs and it shows, in spite of all the chaos swirling around them.
WP Goes Dark
Cancelled my WP subscription and unfollowing this podcast due to Bezos pulling the paper’s endorsement of Harris for president, obeying in advance fascist, rapist, racist, felon Trump’s and complicit Republicans’ ongoing authoritarian coup. One of the deeper shames and shams I’ve ever witnessed. Putting literally one man’s power and profit over truth and the common good is the death in darkness of democracy. I will not participate.
Reporting is somewhat inaccurate
I listened to the recent podcast around Patience and her miscarriage. One of the challenges I have with this reporting is that she did not have a miscarriage. She had a stillbirth (28w-32w), which is quite different! I’m not sure why they chose to use inaccurate language for this podcast- perhaps to sidestep that at 28w babies most often survive, whereas miscarried babies do not. I support abortions, but I find this misleading and concerning reporting.
Bezos
Unfollowing this great show due to Bezos actions on endorsements
This ain’t news it’s activism
It’s awesome seeing this hack news organization eat itself because they won’t support the dumpster fire of a candidate they put forward. Keep murdering your offspring and calling yourself a victim behind sad music…see how far that gets you. No wonder you’re losing credibility and subscribers.
DECISION NOT TO ENDORSE
Dead Post Reports, PLEASE do a timely podcast on the Washington Post’s extremely controversial and damaging decision not to publish a endorsement for president. The whole debacle is now important national news, it is a newsworthy event that has profound implications not just for the future of the Post, but for the state of U.S. journalism in the shadow of a possible second Trump presidency. It deserves your independent scrutiny and rigorous reporting. Everyone I know is canceling their subscriptions and is so deeply disappointed and it is important to demonstrate that the staff of the Post can report on the newspaper itself. Thank you. James
Cmon Bezos
Do the right thing. The world is watching you.
Done
Treating trump’s plans of ethnic cleansing as if they’re HOUSING POLICY? Done. Bye. Hope the WaPo folds because it’s not a legitimate journalistic outlet anymore. The darkness democracy dies in has arrived.
I’ve had enough
After Bezo spiked the Harris endorsement, I no longer believe in the Post’s integrity or credibility. We’re watching the last great national newspaper die. I’m done.

One of the deeper shames and shams I’ve ever witnessed. Putting literally one man’s power and profit over truth and the common good is the death in darkness of democracy. I will not participate. // Previous Review 2 | Ditch Polluter$ - I consider Post Reports a paid premium of my WP subscription. I have deleted without listening to recent podcasts underwritten by Exxon-Mobile. The Climate Crisis is the most urgent issue the planet faces, and its most important story. WP and any reputable news organization should be digging deeply into oil companies’ profiteering and looming omnicidal atrocities to inform readers about consequences, costs, liabilities, and possible solutions, not taking money that promotes absurd greenwashing by the corporations overwhelmingly and knowingly responsible. An insane journalistic conflict and lapse in ethics that you should remember when your credibility is lumped-in with inveterate liars and fearmongers like Fox, Sinclair, and their gross ilk. // Previous Review 1 | Martine Powers is a flawless presenter. Obviously cable news hosts have long been unwatchable, with their canned mannerisms and phony cadences. Podcasts tend to be much better, more natural, but can go too far, with speakers casually hobbling every other thought, needlessly qualifying and un-saying simple declarative statements with incessant “sortofs,” “kindofs,” and “likes.” This is an annoying enough affectation on an entertainment podcast, but for reporters? Actual examples include: “sort of, rape” and “kind of, genocide.” Drives me crazy. Martine, however, guides each story impeccably, with genuine warmth and humanity as well as expert elocution. Thank you for the vital information, beautifully conveyed.
Unsubscribing
A crucially important and existential presidential election like the one this year deserves the support of courageous and transparent news media that puts democracy before fear of future monetary loss. The Washington Post has chosen the later therefore I am unsubscribing. Good luck with your new chosen reputation.
Was about to subscribe to the Post but...
Been listening to P-Rpts a while and was beginning to enjoy it, figured I'd subscribe to The Post til I learned Bezos crushed the Post Kamala endorsement so he doesn't anger Trump of Putins Asset wins so - see ya. Not supporting the spineless in the face of end of democracy so Bezos can not draw Trumps ire. What a coward
Democracy dies in the Darkness
Cancelling my subscription, I’ll miss you.
