I wish I had found you sooner.
A Podcast for the World We Live in Now
A powerful weapon to understand and use against the doom and gloom loop of the early 21st. Also included: dealing with strangers, debunking absurd ideas, science and much more.
?
I love this show so much. Are new episodes pretty rare these days? I feel like every new release lately has been a rerun. Love you Shankar!
One of my favorites
So many of these episodes have impacted my life in a lasting way. I love how this podcast encourages me to think in ways that don’t come naturally to me. I feel like listening to Hidden Brain makes me a better person!
Absolute favorite!
I just recently started listening to Podcasts and this show is my favorite hands down. It’s some of the most well written media I’ve experienced - the Mind Reading 2.0 series has made a major impact on the way I think about my interactions with other people and a new perspective on relationships and communication. Shankar’s voice and the way he speaks give me such comfort, even when the episode focuses on a topic that most would consider heavy or sad. Listening to Shankar and his guests is a safe space for me where I can learn and never feel judged and I am truly grateful.
Informative and entertaining
Great podcast that covers fascinating topics in an interesting and digestible manner.
One of my favorite podcasts
This is one of my favorite podcasts. I look forward to Mondays which is when the new podcast drops. They are well researched and delivered. Well done.
Talk About It
I listen to one of these generally when I’m driving a fair distance with my teenage son for his medical treatment. Most of the time he is sleeping, and this doesn’t disturb him. Occasionally he wakes up and listens for a bit and wants to talk about the ideas presented. This is the kind of show that a 40 year old mother and a 15 year old son can both engage with and engage with each other. And that is precious.
Very engaging
This is such an engaging podcast so nice and educational to listen to, I’ve wanted to find a podcast like this that was good and clean its great!

Really cool topics
Really cool topics/ really soothing voice
Very engaging and educational
I have learned so much with depth on so many topics - on wide ranging topics including Eugenics & it’s origins and where it is now, extreme systemic racism, AI, work/life, behaviors & assumptions an so many wonderful & eye opening topics! Just superb!🙏👌
The best podcast!
This is the best podcast! I love it so much and learn so much! Thank you!
Fascinating and relatable
I recently discovered Hidden Brain and have been working my way through the episodes. Shankar is a talented host and I always find the topics to be thought-provoking. The guests are interesting and I frequently look up more about them afterwards. Even if you think you wouldn't like a podcast with "science" in the description, give this a try!! I am also enjoying the sister podcast, My Unsung Hero, which has 5 minute uplifting stories of strangers coming to the rescue.
The most thought-provoking and interesting podcast
For someone with a B.A. in psychology, but not working in the psychology field, this is so great a resource to keep learning and thinking about interesting topics. Been listening for years. Thank you Shankar and team!!!
Informative and Engaging
If you’re interested in the the answer for “why does that happen?” then you’ll like this podcast.
During a 3 hour drive , I introduced my husband to a deeper way of thinking
My husband is not a therapy kind of guy. He has had a 15 year career in public works. These jobs contain “ Lifers”. People who hate their jobs or sometimes love their jobs , but the point is - they are all in it for LIFE . The job defines them as a person. The amount of paranoia, and un expected political drama , was something my husband did not understand, or sign up for.I tried to explain how complicated situations can be with people and political issues in the work place, from my time working in Hollywood The episode explaining schadenfreude and how the lack of professional challenges and lack of work metric accountability had bread a perfect disaster in employee morale. He was experiencing a number of unprovoked confrontations and bullying by ostracizing. My husband was excited about the work he was tasked to do: To transfer the water treatment plant into a predictive maintenance model , rather than reactive to failure. That concept sounds amazing! But to those guys who came in and saved the day on triple over time and stopped the disaster, and kept the plant going time after time? They would have none of predictive maintenance.
My favorite podcast
I listen to this podcast every day. I listen to some episodes more than once! Very interesting and very well-oriented talks. No bias and I like the neutral opinion on so many debatable topics. I most appreciated the scientific and well-studied core for all talks. engages my mind and makes me think about the topic so many times!Thank you!!!!
Mind Altering
Every time I listen I become aware of some other facet of being Human, of how knowing more shifts my perceptions of others…And of myself. There is almost always a small epiphany that jolts me into acknowledging something within me, some way of dealing with the people around me in, sometimes substantially, different ways by having a clearer understanding of motivation - Theirs and mine.
Interesting and Informative
Relatable, thought provoking podcast. Look forward to it every week.
Great
Very thoughtful podcast with an excellent production team. I really enjoy listening, but unfortunately it repeats a lot. I'd rather have nothing posted at all than turn on what I believe is something new only to find it's a repeat.
Informative and fun
I’ve been working my way thru the podcasts starting with the earliest. Lots of good information and always leaves me thinking.
All
I always look forward to the new episodes, so much good information, thank you.
