With the start of 2024 we turn the page on our year end fundraising season.  We received enough donations to keep Charlotte’s first Catholic Radio Station AM1270 WCGC on the air through February.

With our projected $5000 monthly expense budget your year-end donations and monthly pledges will allow us to pay our creditors and continue operating the radio station on a bare bone budget. 

The success of our first quarter donations and monthly pledges will determine how long after March 1 we can continue radio operations.   Please pray for the success of this ongoing campaign to keep our Digital and Radio Evangelization efforts going and growing in the year ahead.
 
Aside from the radio station, we are moving forward with our 6 other media platforms to deliver strong 3-Diocese (3-D) coverage of timely news that Carolina Catholics can use!

Hidden in Plain Sight: A USCCB/MRS Anti-trafficking Newsletter January 2023 Issue 7 National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month The Anti-Trafficking section of Migration and Refugee Services hopes you had a very merry Christmas and Happy New Year!   During the month of January, we highlight National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month as preparation for St. Josephine Bakhita's Feast Day (February 8). Through a presidential proclamation in 2010, President Barack Obama declared January as National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month. Every year since, the month is dedicated to bringing awareness, education, and information on how to both identify and prevent this crime. It is a great opportunity to raise awareness and share resources, information, history, and other ideas that will help put an end to human trafficking.   January 11th is National Human Trafficking Awareness Day, which is used to raise awareness and is part of a significant effort to deal with issues around human trafficking. This day is connected to the Department of Homeland Security's Blue Campaign, which aims to increase the understanding among Americans about the issue of human trafficking. Human trafficking is prevalent in communities across the country, is often overlooked and underreported, and affects men, women, and children, people of diverse socioeconomic statuses, ages, and educational backgrounds.    To continue fighting and learning on the issue of human trafficking, we have developed an Anti-Trafficking Calender for 2024, which includes important dates and descriptions pertaining to all issues of human trafficking.
