Letter from the Chairman

This past Friday February 25, 2022, AM1270 Catholic Radio Charlotte returned to the airwaves! By the grace of God your local Carolina Catholic Radio voice is once again proclaiming the Truth of Jesus Christ through the impeccable programs of EWTN Global Catholic Media and the outstanding local programs provided by many passionate volunteers here in your local Carolina Catholic community.

As we prepared to turn the station back on, I found great comfort in Friday’s diary entry from St. Faustina. It was yet another “God-incidence” in our 7 year journey to establish this apostolate in the heart of the Bible Belt.

Faustina Diary Entry #56 - The Good News of the Day

Lord, help me to turn from the sensationalism and negativity of the secular world. Help me, instead, to turn my eyes to You and Your glory. Give me courage, wisdom and love so that I may speak of You freely and joyfully. Lord, You are the Good News that must be shared everywhere. Help me to be a willing instrument. Jesus, I trust in You.

Reflection
The secular world is filled with bad news. network TV and cable news, newspapers, talk shows, and other forms of electronic media thrive on sensational and exaggerated tragic events to keep our attention. And we, for our part, are often eager to share the latest gossip or criticism. But what about the good news? What about the news of God's abundant Mercy? How often are you fascinated by this message and how often do you seek to tell the world about the Mercy of God?

Reflect upon that which you are most eager to share with others each and every day. Think about the joy you receive when you speak of the goodness and Mercy of God. Look for opportunities, this day, to share some joy about how great God is. Look for ways that God's beauty and goodness have been evident this week and speak of His workings to those God puts in your path.

It may be as simple as sharing AM1270 and the Carolina Catholic Media App with your circle of friends as a way to evangelize, engage and encourage others to walk more closely with Christ during the season of Lent.

Please prayerfully discern sharing some of your time, talent or treasure with us as we relaunch AM1270 Catholic Radio Charlotte for the Greater Glory of God!
