Pride and Prejudice is a classic novel written by Jane Austen, published in 1813. The story revolves around Elizabeth Bennet, the second eldest of five sisters, living in Regency-era England. Mrs. Bennet desperately wants her daughters to marry wealthy men to secure their future, and when Mr. Bingley, a rich bachelor, arrives in town, she sees an opportunity. However, Elizabeth's initial hatred towards Mr. Darcy, Mr. Bingley's friend, makes things complicated. Despite their prejudices, they slowly begin to understand each other and fall in love. But, with misunderstandings and societal pressures at play, their relationship seems doomed until fate intervenes.
