Recommended Reading and a video
If you've listened to the last few episodes, you know how heavily I relied on the book "Stopping the Presses" by Marda Liggett Woodbury. She's Walter Liggett's daughter who was present when he was murdered. I recommend reading this book to get the WHOLE story! Snag yourself a copy on Amazon:
I found this video of her being interviewed by David Braddock through the Minnesota History Society.
I recommend stopping at about the 26 minute mark unless you want some terrible acting.
