Let's talk 1920s
I mean, really, let's talk like it's the 1920s
Hi Darbs, In doing research I came across a document of 1920s slang and one of the words on there was DARB. It means “an excellent person or thing” or “something deemed wonderful or splendid”. So that’s why we chose it for you all. We were looking for gender inclusive words (I use “guys” for everything, but I know some don’t like that, so I’m trying to stop) and this one seemed to fit the bill.
Let me know if you can think of something better!
Here’s the document I found first.
Then while searching for that again, I found this page from the site Scary Mommy: 435 1920s Slang Words and Phrases that are the Cat’s Pajamas.
Help us in bringing some of these back, please!
