A U.S. imposed import ban on certain Canadian items comes into effect as IQ47 once again tries to "punish" Canada for not just allowing him to climb on top of us and have his way (as he is prone to do, a civil court decision confirms).
We look at some takes on our trade issues with the United States from prominent commentators from the Canadian conservative ecosystem and highlight again the ways in which they not only still appear to have, as Andrew Coyne calls it, "a patriotism problem", but also to have seemingly not taken in any new information over the past months that would alter their perspective.
We also discuss announced job losses at Stelco, a new leader from the New Brunswick Green Party, the return of 'Hockey Night in Canada', an awarded defence contract that may have gone wrong and thus may need to be terminated; and the possibility of a third provincial election being called soon.
