The Mark Carney Liberals now have a majority-designate government.
It's the beginning of a new era and the prime minister kicks it off by adding to his communication strategy something for which we (and many others) have called: a modern-day fireside chat to talk directly to Canadians about the government's plan and to update them on its progress.
Pierre Poilièvre didn't take long to respond to the prime minister crowding his turf.

Meanwhile... Back in Ontario...
Doug Ford holds a post-Gravy Plane backflip press conference to talk to Ontarians, but it seems he couldn't decide whether it's objective was to deliver a mea culpa or to keep making the case for his pre-backflip decision or to present himself as the real victim, so like Mariah Carey, he just hit all the notes.
Unfortunately, he's not Mariah Carey, so it was just a hot mess.
In addition, Ford sets himself up as a foil on algorithmic pricing for NDP Leader Avi Lewis.
