(With some assistance, prodding, and support from the federal government) The governments of both the provinces of Newfoundland and Labrador have re-renegotiated the Churchill Falls/Gull Island hydro-electricity agreements to come up with an expanded version of it, including a clean energy and Indigenous ownership/participation component, which all sides are calling a win-win-win agreement, that is not only historic, but particularly notable given its scale.
And it's Trump TACO Tariff Eve in Canada, as discussions continue. Nobody expects the U.S. side to not wait as close to the last minute as possible to inform us of how many tequila shots we'll need to take with the meal they'll choose to serve up.
