It's the Solstice, which corresponds every year with National Indigenous Peoples Day.
To mark the occasion, we celebrate Indigenous excellence by featuring one of the “Most Powerful Women in Canadian Entertainment” as determined by The Hollywood Reporter, Naomi Johnson, Executive Director of imagineNATIVE, the world’s largest Indigenous film and media arts festival, held every June in Toronto and accessible all around the world due its online programming.
We will talk about the festival itself, how it is she came to become its Executive Director, the passion she has for the work, and how it is a unique venue to foster curiosity, growth, and artistic creativity.
