What an awesome resource for authors. The insight gained is unmatched in the industry!

I can easily say that The Manuscript Academy has been the single most influential benefit to my writing and writing career. I would not be where I am without their amazing guidance and fabulous podcasts. As powerful of a force for writing improvement as they are, Jessica and Julie are also personally vested in writers and their progress. You can not fake heart and kindness. It's no wonder I've developed my cherished writer's group from our first seminar series from The Manuscript Academy.

The Manuscript Academy podcast is a must for any writer preparing for, or already in, the querying trenches. The hosts represent both "sides of the desk" with an author and a literary agent, and the podcast comes from the Manuscript Wishlist website.Episodes include interviews with lit agents and discussions of First Pages, along with some great inspiration and encouragement. The interviews are SO good. They ask the questions I want answers to. Best of all, it helped me understand that agents are just people who love books too. Every episode has taught me something and made me feel like I'm not in this crazy writing thing alone.

These podcasts are so informative. I feel like I'm listening to a conversation among agents and writers who are genuinely interested in understanding each other and in providing helpful info to those of us listening.

I enjoy the "behind the scenes" feel, and the humanizing of Agents! Excited for future episodes.

I actually came into this podcast skeptical, assuming it would be like the many, many blog posts and articles already available. Instead, I downloaded all the available episodes (13 at the time) as soon as I finished the first episode. The podcast turned out to be not only informative, it was a great opportunity to "see" the personalities of Jessica Sinsheimer, Julie Kingsley, and their guests. And just for the curious, this podcast covers the entire field for writers—fiction, non-fiction, how people got started in the industry, etc. You'll get the chance to hear how agents are really rooting for you as well as how the industry works and evolves over the years.In essence, whether you're a newbie or a veteran, you'll find something you didn't know before.

I recommend these podcasts for anyone wanting to better understand the agents & people behind the querying or publishing process. Jessica and Julie are funny engaging hosts who spotlight the personalities of their guests.

Julie and Jessica ask their guests great quetions, and every agent I've listened to so far has given such great advice, tips and tricks for writers looking to get their footing in the publishing. The stories are great and hilarious and the whole series of interviews are just so fun.

More informative and in depth interviews than an article allows for, so if you've already memorized an agent or editor's normal answers, this will give you something new to consider. Not sure why there is an explicit rating!

An awesome academy on writing and publishing? Interviews with agents? Heck yeah! It's so cool to hear the insides of the publishing world, and so helpful too.
