Dr. Tim Law

Dr. Tim Law Profile Photo

Dr Tim Law is Head of Building Sciences at RIC Solutions. He is also an Honourary Senior Fellow at the University of Melbourne. Formerly, he was lecturer and course chair of Building Surveying at Victoria University, and lecturer of Architecture at the University of Tasmania. His research over recent years has been into the moisture related building defects in new buildings in Victoria, together with the impact of mould on occupant health. His recently completed research for the Australian Building Codes Board, and Building & Plumbing Commission (formerly Victorian Building Authority) on mould in residential buildings revealed a large proportion of buildings had designed-in and built-in issues with non-compliance, defects and fitness for purpose.
