Jack's has been a staple in the the New Castle community for decades, but under Lee's leadership has been shaking up the doughnut game accross the state and accross the country. Lee explains what it takes to build up a business like he has and discusses the future of Jack's The guys also spent some time talking about the shell building in Henry County, Indiana. There are 25 shell buildings accross the state of Indiana and thousands more accross the country. Episode 70 saw the return of Boss Hog of Liberty's own 1970's expert. Mark Brim joined the crew in the studio for a surprise visit and Jeremiah's honeymoon return. Kade Koger is this week's third co-host. At the start of the show, the guys talk about Mark's background and make him take a quiz to figure out if he is a hipster, like he's been accused of. Episode 68 saw the return of all 5 co-hosts. The guys reminisce about the weekend activities which included Jeremiah's wedding and a trip to New Castle Motor Sports. We also learned that Kade Koger loves to break out his dance moves. Dakota and Jeremiah took a trip to the Joint meeting concerning the Henry County jail and discovered that we are not unique in our current corrections situation. The duo gives a synopsis of what was said at the meeting, and their own personal opinions of what can be done to get us out of this mess. We talked about Attorney General Curtis Hill, and Dakota questions how any sane person can believe that he is innocent with the information that we know. New Castle Indiana was home to the biggest missing person’s case in the country in the early 20th century, when a young girl name Catherine Winters went missing. A nearly 1000 person search found nothing. Kandice adapted the story into a play, which then led to a movie Catherine. It was produced, shot, and acted with local talent. Episode 59 of Boss Hog of Liberty is now available! Jeremiah Morrell and Dakota Davis are joined by Brandy Pierce and Matt Pierce. Brandy is an officer with the New Castle Police Department and Matt is a detective in with the Sheriff’s department. Brandy is the K9 handler for the police department. Last year, she was involved in a gunfight where her dog helped to save her life. During the gunfight, she was struck in the vest by a 45 caliber bullet. Brandy tells her story. Earlier this month, her dog passed, leaving the department without a dog. The NCPD has always had their dogs privately funded. To raise funds to replace Lex, there are tee shirts being sold, a golf tournament, a tenderloin dinner, and cash donations are also being accepted.
