Substack is a popular free newsletter tool, and there are two ways to connect it to your Podpage: collect newsletter signups on your website, or display your Substack posts on a Newsletter page.
Collecting Substack signups on your website
Available on the Pro plan and above.
- In Substack, copy the embed code for your publication's signup form (Substack provides one at
yourname.substack.com/embed). - In your dashboard, go to Engage Listeners → Build a Mailing List and open your mailing list settings.
- Set Collect Listener Email Addresses to Use my own custom email form.
- Paste the embed code into the Custom Signup Form field and click Save.
Visitors who sign up on your website go straight onto your Substack list.
Showing your Substack posts on a Newsletter page
Available on the Elite plan.
- In your dashboard, go to Pages → Newsletter and open the page settings.
- Enter your Substack address (like
https://yourname.substack.com/) in the Substack URL field. - Click Save. Podpage builds a page at
/newsletter/on your website that shows your newsletter content.
