When a visitor hits a URL that doesn't exist on your site — an old link or a typo — Podpage shows them a 404 "page not found" page automatically. There's nothing to set up.
What visitors see
The 404 page matches your branding: it shows your cover art, uses your site's accent color, and includes a Back home button plus a list of your latest episodes — so visitors land on your content instead of a dead end. Search engines are told not to index it.
Where to preview it
In your dashboard, go to Pages → 404 Page to see exactly what visitors get. The page is generated automatically — its content isn't directly editable.
Fixing the links that cause 404s
- Forward old or broken URLs to the right place with 301 redirects.
- On the Elite plan, go to Search Optimization → 404 Error Report to see which URLs are returning 404s and where that traffic is coming from.
