Why is my episode missing?

Published a new episode but it isn't on your website yet? This is usually just timing, and it's quick to fix.

Why this happens

Podpage checks your RSS feed for new episodes automatically — for shows that publish regularly, about every 30 minutes — so a brand-new episode can take a little while to appear. If it's been longer than that, the episode may not be in your feed yet.

How to fix it

  1. Run a manual check. In your dashboard, go to Episodes → All Episodes. At the top you'll see when Podpage last checked your feed — click the link there to check again immediately.
  2. Confirm the episode is in your feed. Open your RSS feed URL in a browser and look for the episode. If it isn't in the feed, Podpage can't import it — make sure it's published at your podcast host, and contact their support if it's missing.
  3. Check which feed Podpage uses. Go to Podcast Info → RSS Feed and make sure the saved URL is the feed your host actually publishes to — especially if you've recently switched hosts.
  4. Republishing an old episode? Episodes have unique IDs, so a re-dated old episode won't import as new. See My episodes aren't updating when I update my host.

If the episode is in your feed and still missing after a manual check, contact us through the chat button and we'll investigate.
