Made changes to an episode at your podcast host, but your website still shows the old version? That's expected: Podpage imports each episode once, then keeps checking your feed for new episodes — it doesn't re-import changes to episodes it already has.
How to fix it
Option 1: Edit the episode on Podpage
- In your dashboard, go to Episodes → All Episodes and click Edit on the episode.
- Update the title, show notes, or anything else, then click Save.
Option 2: Re-sync your feed
- Go to Episodes → All Episodes and find Refresh Episode Data from Feed at the top of the page.
- Click to expand the options and choose one:
- Refresh Images — update each episode's image from the feed.
- Refresh everything except images — replace episode data but keep images you've uploaded to Podpage.
- Refresh everything — replace all episode data with what's in your feed.
- Delete all episodes and re-import — start fresh; helpful for oddities like duplicates.
Warning: The last two options overwrite any edits you've made to episodes on Podpage.
Republishing an old episode?
Behind the scenes, every episode has a unique ID. If you re-date an older episode at your host, Podpage sees the same ID and won't import it as a new episode. Instead, go to Episodes → All Episodes, search for the episode, and update its date there.
Switching podcast hosts?
Podpage pulls episodes from whatever feed is saved under Podcast Info → RSS Feed, just like podcast players do. As long as your new host's feed includes your episodes, they stay on your website — update the feed URL there, and if you haven't made custom edits on Podpage, run Delete all episodes and re-import for a clean slate.
