Podpage reads your podcast's RSS feed and builds a page for every episode, with links out to Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and other directories. Here's how those pages get indexed — and what to check when something looks off.
Podpage displays your episodes — your host distributes them
Podpage is not a podcast host. Your hosting provider stores your audio files and distributes them to directories like Apple Podcasts and Spotify. Podpage reads the same feed those apps do and turns each episode into a page on your website, with playback links to the directories. See Does Podpage host my RSS feed?
How Google indexes new episodes
Every new episode page is added to your site's sitemap automatically. Google reads the sitemap and indexes the new URLs on its own — there's nothing you need to do as long as your site is live and your feed is connected.
Episodes missing on Apple Podcasts or Spotify
If episodes aren't showing up in the podcast apps themselves, that's a distribution issue between your podcast host and the directory — Podpage doesn't upload or distribute episodes to those platforms.
- Confirm your podcast host distributes to Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
- Check that the episode is published in your feed at your host.
- Contact your podcast host's support if episodes are still missing.

Getting Google to pick up episode updates
When you update an episode's title or description on Podpage, the change flows into your sitemap and Google reindexes the page on its next visit. To speed that up:
- Log in to Google Search Console.
- Open the URL Inspection tool and enter the episode page's URL.
- Click Request Indexing.
