Podpage automatically includes a media player on every episode page (and, depending on your header style, on your homepage). Here's how the default player is chosen and how to change it.
The default player
- Podpage uses the media player from your podcast hosting service (Buzzsprout, Libsyn, and so on) whenever it can.
- If your host's player isn't available, Podpage falls back to a standard HTML5 player that works in all mobile browsers.
There's no built-in way to recolor or restyle your host's embedded player from Podpage — its appearance comes from your host, so check their player settings for styling options.
Switching to the Podpage audio player site-wide
Prefer a simpler player with clickable timestamps? Go to Episodes → Episode Settings and turn on Use Podpage's Audio Player. See Using the built-in Podpage audio player.
Using a different player for one episode
- In your dashboard, go to Episodes → All Episodes and click Edit on the episode.
- Scroll down to Custom Media Player Embed HTML Code.
- Paste the embed code for the player you want and click Save. That code is used for this episode only.

Tip: You can also choose whether episode pages show the audio player, the video player, or both — open the Episode Pages editor (under Pages → Episodes) and look for the Media Player section.
