Why your newsletter signup form isn't showing on your site

You set up newsletter signups, but the form isn't appearing on your website. This is usually just a visibility setting, and it's quick to fix.

Your signup form can appear in three places: your sidebar, a section on your homepage, and your site's /newsletter page. Work through the checks below.

How to fix it

1. Check your email collection setting

  1. In your dashboard, go to Engage Listeners → Build a Mailing List.
  2. Open the Email Capture Form Setup settings.
  3. Make sure the collection method is set to Collect Using Podpage or Use my own custom email form. If it's set to Don't Collect Email Addresses, no signup form appears anywhere on your site.

2. Check your sidebar visibility

The signup form lives in your sidebar, so the sidebar has to be visible wherever you want the form to show.

  1. In your dashboard, go to Design → Sidebar.
  2. In the Visibility section, turn on Show Sidebar Homepage Feed, Show Sidebar on Episode, Video, and Post pages, or both.

If both toggles are off, your signup form only appears on your site's /newsletter page.

3. Add the Newsletter Signup section to your homepage

For maximum visibility, you can also show the signup form as its own section on your homepage:

  1. In your dashboard, go to Design → Home Page.
  2. Find the Newsletter Signup section and turn it on — it's hidden by default.

4. Scroll down

If the sidebar is on but you still don't see the form, scroll to the bottom of the page. With a lot of content above it, the sidebar (and the form inside it) can sit lower on the page than you expect.
