Well done.
Great delivery of this podcast.
Justice
I was hooked on this podcast! By the end, I felt so much relief with the verdict handed down. Hearing the trial from a juror’s perspective was fascinating. I live in Tennessee and Jasmine’s story haunts me. The host did an excellent job in narrating each episode. For everyone complaining about the courtroom audio, that’s completely out of the podcast’s control. Often times the witness is not speaking loudly or close enough to the mic. I work for a court and this is a constant issue for us.
Amazing work
Fascinating content. Great narration. Done with such respect for everyone involved, especially Jasmine and her family. While I’ve served on a jury, never one of this magnitude and never sequestered.
TLC
I really appreciated the care taken in telling this difficult event. You didn't sensationalize the story or make it about the horror. I now have a better understanding of what happens during jury duty.
Enjoyed it thoroughly
I liked Sara’s voice and her telling the story. If she did another season I would definitely listen to it. Thank you!
So sad but so well done.
You and your producer did this so well. I love how you ended with “A trial FOR Jasmine Pace”and not the killer. Also, thanks for reminding people to remember the victims in these type of cases and not bringing the killers to stardom. Thank you. I can’t even imagine how you deal with the emotions after serving on such a brutal case.
Thank you
Amazing coverage - your voice is so soothing. This was done in a respectful manner. Jazzy would be proud of you two.
AMAZING!!
Sarah did such an amazing job telling this story. I loved the court audio. Jasmine’s story was told so well. amazing job.
Beautifully done
Really interesting perspective of a juror that I’ve never heard in such depth in one podcast. I so appreciate the care and thought that has gone into the retelling of this trial. Also thank you to the DA for giving such a powerful, victim-focused closing statement. I loved this podcast. Well done and thank you for your service on this jury!
Eye opening
We always wonder how the jury comes to their decision, what is it like dealing with so much emotion, seeing things we were never meant to see. This podcast was done so well. I was sad when it was over and I just felt sad because we don’t know why this case even happened.
2 day binge
Loved this viewpoint!!! I binged it in 2 days!!
So informative!!
I throughly enjoyed this podcast. Such a tragedy but you did a wonderful job telling Jasmine’s story.
Not a true crime guy…BUT!
I have been waiting for the right long weekend road trip to binge this new podcast - and the timing was right for me the last few days. This is an incredible listen. So much detail and fascinating audio clips put me right in that courtroom. And dare I say - the last few minutes of episode 10 literally took my breath away!
😭
What a moving tribute to a beautiful person gone way too soon.
Incredibly Insightful
I teach US Government and have always wanted to sit on a jury so I could explain the process to my students…. Thank you for giving me the next best thing! This has been a great learning tool to help me better explain the jury process and the important responsibility it it as well as the toll it can take. Thank you!
Very interesting
It was a great viewpoint that I haven’t heard. Telling my podcast friends to listen.
So well made
They did an excellent job of telling Jasmine’s story
Honoring Jazzy
After hearing Jazzy’s story for the first time, I really wanted to learn more about her and how justice was served for her. Thanks for honoring Jazzy.
Absolute tragedy but thank you for telling this story.
Really enjoyed this podcast. After seeing the dateline episode about this case, I found this podcast. Such a tragic event. I believe Sarah did a wonderful job honoring Jasmine. I’m heartbroken for her family and friends who have lost someone so dear to them. I also found myself feeling sympathetic for Jason’s parents. As Chinese immigrants, I’m sure they thought they were giving their son an amazing opportunity to grow up in America. I don’t think anyone will ever know why he did what he did, he may not even know. But regardless, he did something so incredibly heinous, it’s hard to even wrap your head around. He’s exactly where he needs to be and I’m not sorry that he will never be eligible for parole. Rest easy Jazzy!
On the edge of my seat…
Gripping, heartbreaking, and loved how this podcast was done and giving Jazzy & her family nothing but respect! WELL DONE! Thank you for the juror’s point of view. I immediately sent to my aunt that served on a murder trial…RIP JAZZY. You deserved the world 💔! (1st time reviewing a podcast- and I’ve listened to hundreds of them!)
Compelling and mesmerizing story
One of the best true crime podcasts I’ve listened to. Sara provides the unique perspective of a juror with a thorough and thoughtful telling of Jasmine Paces story. Great companion website with all the resources and details.
Well Done!
Thank you for telling Jasmine’s story. That was the most important part. Jury duty can be horrible! I thank you for telling your side of the story. As a former juror myself, I had the right to refuse a second summons because it was within two years of my first duty. I refused and as of now, I will try not to serve ever again. Like you said, the dismissal of alternate jurors, just seemingly little things, are not easy to dismiss or forget about when you are on the inside. Thank you for your story.
Must listen!
A tragic story told from a unique prospective. Remember Jazzy!
Amazing project!!
A story so sad, heartbreaking, and with pointless violence, this project has been responsibly told. This is probably one of the best projects I’ve ever listened too. The narrator and producer have created a podcast that paints a picture of what actually happens. I’m looking forward to future projects.
