Watch hosts Matt Perez and Jose Leal converse with Bindu Kalesan, CEO and Founder of Tury Health, about the reasons why healthcare in the U.S. might need an overhaul that takes a patient/health consumer-first approach, and why technology-first approaches are not working and could be, in fact, widening the gaps.
The U.S. healthcare system needs an overhaul that prioritizes patient/health consumer needs to address its issues. The system's fragmentation, high costs, and inequities harm patients' access to care and outcomes. Technology-driven solutions, while useful, risk exacerbating these issues by prioritizing profits over patients. A patient-centered approach that emphasizes equitable access, affordability, and coordinated care is needed to improve the system's effectiveness and address the root causes of its issues.
