Thank you for all your feedback on our last episode! We are honored to serve you and love that you had great takeaways from part one of this new series on bounty of growth. We are continuing from where we left off. In this episode of Points of Leadership, we will examine the pruning process in the leadership journey. Some leadership articles have different frames for the pruning process in the leadership journey. For example, the Havard Business Review uses phrases like; selective focus, workforce optimization or the familiar one- change management.
With fall around the corner, this episode uses plant analogy to examine the pruning process in leadership. For instance, why are stray branches taken off a plant intentionally, or why does farmers cut off wilted leaves or spoiled fruits from a crop. From a human perspective, God created humans with the ability for our brains to “self-prune” so that our brains can be more efficient. Synaptic pruning is a neuro-developmental process that allows the human brain to remove excess or weak synapses.
Furthermore, in this episode of Points of Leadership, we provide practical discussions on how the pruning process improves health, better light penetration and improved air flow. All while making the distinct connection with business ideas, relationships or company culture.
As always, the leadership principles we share here on Points of Leadership are for any leader in any industry that desires to take care of those they lead well through the overflow of his or her life. So, pull up a chair, call a friend and take a listen and share with any industry leader in your life. Thank you for engaging with us.
