Tom Bower’s book keeps stirring controversy as new claims about Harry, Meghan and royal tensions emerge

Tom Bower’s upcoming book Betrayal: Power, Deceit and the Fight for the Future of the Royal Family continues to generate headlines with a series of new claims about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
One section focuses on the charity Sentebale, where Bower writes that Harry reacted angrily after being shown the results of a brand audit suggesting that his personal reputation had declined following the release of his memoir Spare and the couple’s Netflix projects.
The book also revisits Meghan’s appearance at the One Young World summit in Manchester, with Bower claiming organisers were concerned about a speech that he says focused heavily on her personal experiences.
Another chapter examines Meghan’s high-profile appearance at a Balenciaga fashion show in Paris, where Bower suggests the trip may have involved expenses of around $250,000, including travel, accommodation and couture fashion.
Elsewhere, testimony in the High Court privacy case involving Prince Harry reveals that his former girlfriend Chelsy Davy once warned he could end up “just like” Prince Andrew, according to evidence from a journalist recalling a conversation in 2004.
Plus, PR experts weigh in on whether Harry could face difficult questions about Andrew and the Jeffrey Epstein scandal during upcoming appearances, Conan O’Brien delivers a joke at the Oscars that many viewers interpreted as a reference to Andrew, and reports claim the prince has begun therapy while remaining largely out of public life under the King’s watch.
