00 Ah Calorouga Shark Media. Hello and welcome to Palace Intrigg. I'm your host, Mark Francis. Meghan Michael is heading to Geneva this weekend for the unveiling of the Lost Screen Memorial, a tribute to children who have died as a consequence of online harm. The announcement released by the Sussex Office on Friday confirmed Megan will travel solo. Harry and the children are staying in California, marking her second solo overseas appearance in as many weeks, coming directly on the hills of the Princess of Wales's working visit to Italy. The memorial, which eliminates Geneva's plus de naisons with fifty light boxes, each bearing the lock screen image of a child lost to digital violence, will be inaugurated on Sunday evening. Meghan will be joined by WHO Director General, Doctor tedros anderhom Jebra Yasis and senior global health figures, with the event time to coincide with the opening of the seventy ninth World Health Assembly. The cause is one Meghan has champion for some time, and the credentials here aren't genuine. Whether the timing of The announcement a Friday afternoon, one day after Keate's Italy visit concluded, will be scrutinized as closely as the cause itself is at this point essentially inevitable.
16 The monarchy watches the Internet notices the calendar never lies. In The Express, Karen Rockett writes, as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex prepare to celebrate their eighth wedding anniversary, the royal experts believe the couple, while still very much in love, are on very different paths professionally, and while Megan is looking to the future, Harry is clinging to the past. They see Megan as the much stronger character of the two, carving out a commercial career, while Harry still pines for a royal role, still seeking to carve out a role for himself on the world stage. Royal commentator Richard fitz Williams tells The Express, Harry has always seen themselves as more than just having a walk on role in her cookery programs. There are no science this relationship is failing. Though she is obviously the much stronger of the two, he has admitted to a lot of trauma and needing therapy. She came along at a time in his life when he needed her, and he still needs her. But I think the bottom line is they do really get along. The personal relationship between them, I think remains strong for now, but they are clearly heading in very different directions. Professionally, they are most definitely on diverging paths and want different things. Whether this causes conflict in the future remains to be seen, but for now, at least I see them very much together. Royal biographer Tom Bowers told The Daily Expresso. I think in the end, he needs her and she needs him. He said. It's a relationship based on a good business standing, and so I am not one of those who thinks that they are about to in any way break up. I think on the whole he needs her because he's a lonely
48 sad man and she needs the label. We probably won't see Prince William wishing the couple a happy anniversary today, and insider tells Radar Online there's a public perception that William has completely turned against Harry and wants nothing more to do with him, but people close to the situation and says that isn't really the case. Deep down, William still sees Harry as his little brother and someone he had once said incredibly close bond with the real resentment in his mind is directed toward Meghan because he believes the family dynamic dramatically changed after she entered the picture. William feels Meghan fundamentally altered Harry's relationship with the monarchy and with the people closest to him. He thinks she encouraged the anger, the distance, and ultimately the decision to publicly air private grievances in a way the family never could have anticipated. If William believed he could still reach Harry without outside influence or distrust getting in the way, he probably would try. But at this point he feels the damage is too serious, so he's taken the attitude that all we can really do now is step back and wait to see how things unfold. Essentially, he has issued a pretty brutal prediction that Harry and Meghan's marriage has no hope of lasting. Harry and Meghan are developing a new feature film for Netflix based on the Afghan war memoir No Way Out, the searing true story of Men under Siege. The project will be produced through the couple's Archwall Productions Company. The film is based on the twenty nineteen memoir by British major Adam Jowett and focuses on a military operation in Afghanistan during the summer of two thousand and six. The book follows Easy Company, the
21 unit made up of Paris and Royal Irish rangers tasked with defending the district center of the Musa Kala under siege conditions. Prince Harry's involvement in the project is notable given his own military background, serving two tours in Afghanistan during his decade in the British Army. OSCAR nominated writer Matt Charman, who received an Academy Award nominations for Bridges of Spies, has been hired to write the screenplay. The new film falls under Archwell's first look arrangement with Netflix after the expiration of the couple's broader overall deal. A new report claims Megan has privately expressed frustration over what she allegedly said thees as a double standard in the public reaction to a family photograph shared by the Prince and Princess of Wales. The claim follows the release of an anniversary portrait of Prince William and Princess Catherine with their children in Norfolk. The photograph, shared on the couple's official social media accounts, showed William and Catherine alongside Prince George, Princess Charlton and Prince Louis, as well as the family dogs All and Otto. According to Heat magazine, Megan was reportedly upset by the overwhelmingly positive public response to the image.
28 Source claimed it's like there's one set of rules for William and Kate and another for Meghan and Harry. This latest photo has got all the resentment over the double standards bubbling back up. Kate and William are very clear using their children as part of the royal image and the branding of the family. Yet Megan's been criticized and picked apart for even including the smallest glimpse of Archie and Lilibet on her social media and she doesn't even know their faces. It's so unfair. No matter what she does, Kate will be the golden girl, and she will be the villain. She's still deeply scarred and deeply with sentful that they've been turned into total pariahs. More palace in just a moment, King Charles surprised guests at a Buckingham Palace guarden party by briefly stepping behind the DJ booth during celebrations marking the fiftieth anniversary of the King's Trust.
19 The event had a very different atmosphere from a traditional royal guarden party, with DJs, live art and celebrity guests, and gathered on the palace lawns. Actor Sir Idris Elber and twenty two year old DJ Christian Saint Louis Noan professionally as DJ INC, provided music from a DJ booth stet up on the West Terrace. Shortly before heavy rain arrived. The King joined the pair at the decks and pressed play to start the music, prompting loud cheers from the crowd. So Idras later joked he said he was going to DJ today and he did. Asked whether the King's contribution really counted as djaying, he laughed, well, he pressed play. That's the hardest part as a DJ. I know, it's very difficult on whether the King enjoyed the music. So Idras added, he didn't stick around put it that way.
02 Pepper Middleton and her husband James Matthews are facing a public inquiry over a disputed footpath that runs through the Berkshire estate. The couple purchased the one hundred and forty five acre Barton Court property in near Kintbury in twenty twenty two for a reported twenty million dollars and later blocked access to a track known publicly as Mill Lane, placing science around the estate reading private, no public access and no trespassing. More than thirty local residents, backed by the Ramblers Organization, applied to have the route officially recognized that the public right of way, arguing the lane had been openly used by the community for decades. West Berkshire Council ruled in favor of the application, prompting Matthews to challenge the decision at a six day public inquiry. West Berkshire Council ruled in favor of the application, prompting Matthews to challenge the decision at a six day public inquiry.
51 Local resident Samuel Robins told the inquiry it's a calm and attractive walk. I've never been stopped or asked to turn around. Sophie Redmond and the Ramblers Organization argued the route had been walked by the community for more than twenty years. Without interruption. A spokesman for Matthews and Middleton mainteen there has never been a formal public right of way across the land, the spokesman said, for as long as records exist, there has never been a footpath public right of way on the land currently under discussion. There are other clearly marked footpaths nearby. Contrary to media reports, the previous owners of the property from as far back as the nineteen seventies did not allow public access to the land under discussion. It has always been a private property.
33 As the world famous RHS Chelsea Flower Show opens in London, there is also royal attention to another major gardening event taking place later this season, the Royal Windsor Flower Show. The two events are often confused, but they are actually very different. The Chelsea Flower Show, which runs from May nineteenth through the twenty third at the Royal Hospital Chelsea in London, is Britain's premier international gardening showcase. It attracts celebrity designers, broadcast as major sponsors and senior royals every year, with King Charles and Queen Camilla traditionally attending alongside other members of the royal family. The Royal Windsor Flowers Show. Meanwhile, in a separate one day event taking place to see on June sixth, and winds a great park. It has a small but more traditional and community focused atmosphere centered around gardening, sustainability, food production and family activities, although it also maintains strong royal connections. This year, the Duchess of Edinburgh is playing a major role at a Windsor event by codesigning the plants with Purpose Garden, alongside award winning designer Alan Williams of Landform Consultants. According to the Royal Family, the garden will highlight the importance of healthy soil and an understanding of how food is growing. The project reflects Sophie's growing focus on sustainable farming and food education, particularly encouraging young people to pursue careers in the British food industry.
