CHANGE YOUR MIND

Change Your Mind.

Change Your Future.

Change Your Attitude.

Change Your Relationship.

Change Your Relationship With Your Self.

Change Your Paradigm.

As women, we've been teased about changing our minds as easily as changing our hair color. The inference is, of course, that we make changes too easily, too often.

I know this is not true.

More often, we stay stuck with a choice, made with different expectations that are not or no longer realized.

Change can be good.

Change can be necessary.

Change can be lifesaving - literally.

If you are struggling to make a decision about change, try my CHANGE DECODED SYSTEM

It may help you find some clarity - one choice, one step, one day at a time.

Share this podcast and the Change Decoded System with a loved one or friend. You might be the change that someone else needs right now.

LAYC38 - Change Your Mind

Hey!... Welcome back, everyone. So happy to have you here, as I continue this series about change and I continue my own evolutionary journey. That's what inspired the thoughts around this series, and how, perhaps by sharing my own experience, I might help some of you.

On the last two episodes, we talked about... How change can be exciting, and it can be scary. And that change is a good thing. It's far better than living with regrets. Even as uncomfortable or ugly, as part of the transformation or transition process of change, can be.

If change is on your mind, I encourage you to double back and listen to the first two episodes. Take advantage of some of the resources that I share there, and compare how you are faring in this transformational period of your life, against my own experiences.

Today, I'd like to tell you... That I absolutely, positively believe, that it is okay... To change your mind. The reason I feel compelled to have this conversation with you is... In the last few weeks, I've been sharing some change that's planned in my own personal and business life.

Surprising and not surprising, some of the people that are close to me... Hmm... They reacted with resistance. They were saying like... Are you sure?... Why would you want to do that? Way.. Way.. Woah.. Wait Shss-low down there!... Just a moment, Isabel... Don't you think you need to take a little more time?... To think about this? And... What about everybody else?... You're going to affect all these other people... Don't you need to take some time to think about that? Really? Isabel... Are you sure you want to change your mind now? Things are not all that bad in your life really... Compared to other people. Why wouldn't you just.... Settle? Why wouldn't you make that work? Did you try hard enough to make it work out? Like really? You always want more! You're always reaching and striving... To be somebody else. We kind of like you... Who you are.. Right now. And of course, the unsaid thoughts are... But if you change... What happens to me? Where... Where do I stand in your life?

I know... That I'm not the only one who will go through this... With people close to us... In our inner circle... The ones that we really want to rely on the most. The ones we want to lean on, and lean into... When we're going through tough shit. But guess what?... It doesn't always mean they're ready... To be there for us. They're selfishly thinking about how your changing, will impact them.

Even though, the people closest to you, really do have your best interests at heart. While they are getting to that place. I want to assure you, it is okay to change your mind. And in fact... It's absolutely necessary... To change your mind about what's right for you, and who's right for you. What you're doing, that is right for you, because time has passed, time has elapsed. When you first made the decision... To be that to someone, to be that with someone, or something. That was then, and this is now.

You are different today in this moment. You've grown. You've evolved. You know more. You've experienced more. You've become more of you... And you are different in a really good way. Circumstances are different also, from... When you were, who you were. To... Who you are now. Time didn't stand still. The clock is ticking. History is being made, technology is being invented. I mean gosh... Just think about how different the world is since 2020. We experienced a global pandemic, and how that caused so many of us to grow in different ways. And how it put space or distance, between what we thought were our priorities before. That we couldn't live without... Or that's just the way our life is. To... Well... No, we can do this differently... and... Oh yeah... I don't feel really comfortable yet with all of that change...Hmmm... I can see that new things are possible. New ways of being and showing up, and inventing and creating... Are possible because the catalyst was a global pandemic.

Let me assure you... It is okay to change your mind. Don't let yourself talk yourself out of that, because here we are... You've been thinking about this change. Otherwise you wouldn't be here listening to me. And I wouldn't be having this conversation, because I've been thinking about this change... And it's happening exactly the way that it should. It's unfolding, because we've been processing, in our subconscious... That we're ready to do something different. To be someone different. To reach our NEXT level... Of evolution and transformation, into who we are. We have this experience that we've built on, we've got the foundation of our lives. For many of us, it's a time after experiencing the pandemic... That we really become more thoughtful about... How we will be remembered... And what is the legacy... That we want to live, before we die? And what is the legacy that we choose to create... So that we have the impact and the influence, that we want to be remembered for.

Not changing, not making the commitment to take that step... That very scary step, out into the unknown... Because it is, it's like blindfold... Step off the edge of the building. We don't know exactly how it's all going to turn out. We have a vision, we have an idea of how we would like it to turn out. But how it actually manifests... That will be revealed to us in time.

Not changing is self-denial. It's denying your own evolution, it's denying your own intuition and longing, and desires... To be the best that you can be.

Not changing, is keeping yourself in a self-imposed prison. There you are... Recognize that you are in that prison, and only YOU can unlock the door... And let YOU walk into... The NEXT experience in your life.

So if someone says to you... Are you sure? You really want to do that? You have a choice. You don't have to answer anyone's questions except your own. So ask yourself... Are you sure? Have you been thinking about this for a while? Have you weighed the pros and cons? The ups and downs? Have you used the Change Decoded system?... That I shared with you in the last episode? Just to remove any fuzziness or uncertainty around... What is the right decision for you? Do you feel it in your gut? Are you willing to invest in yourself?... And trust, that by taking the step to move forward and change... Whatever that circumstance maybe... But by taking that step, investing and believing in yourself... That change, can only ever result in a better, happier, healthier, more abundant future.

Staying where you are is not a static thing. Trust me. When you're pretending that you're just going to stay where you are. There are only two options for us. Only two. One is to grow... To expand, and to become more of the best of YOU... And the other, is to be still... And start to decay and contract... And become less and less of you.

Make the choice... When you're ready. So whenever there's any doubt for you, if you're sure that it is the right time to change... Remind yourself, the reason that you're thinking about it. Isn't because you're just invented it today, in this second. You've been thinking about this for a long time, haven't you? You've been processing it, and you have been preparing for this moment. Take the step into your future now. I know I'm going to.

I hope that that resonates with you. I'd like to leave you now, to think about that, and listen to your own intuition around what feels right for you. For now, think about that, and how that really lands for you. Join me again next week. We're going to talk more about... The positive side of change, and the support and resources... That help you along that magnificent journey.

Until then, a parting thought, a quote from Daphne Rose Kingma... Sums it all up for me today. She said... " Holding on is believing that there's only a past; Letting go is knowing that there is a future.

It is okay to change your mind. That's letting go of the past, and knowing for sure that there's a future" that you create.

I look forward to talking to you next week as we continue our evolutionary journey together. Goodbye for now.
