So the big question out there in a lot consumers minds is can I overdose on CBD? I'm going to answer that question today and also explain the differences between isolette broad spectrum and full spectrum CBD and the correct dose of CBD for you and your pets. So can you overdose on CBD? And the answer is no, absolutely not. Get understand that hemp CBD comes from the hemp plant. We discussed that in earlier episodes. The hemp plant has been around since biblical since BC times there's been countless examples of people using hemp for daily wellness benefits for 1000s of years. hip comes from a plant it's it's God's gift from nature. I like to say it's a plant vitamin, but a lot of people don't understand that hemp CBD contains zero THC, and when it's 100% safe, and so a lot of people my my personal experiences some some stories. So my dad, my dad was a long haul truck driver for 30 years. And my dad before that served in Vietnam as a ground corps Marine, uneducated seventh grade education, got drafted to go into Vietnam, served his country and stayed there for two and a half years and was able to come out, came back to the country. uneducated, didn't have a job. So he started driving truck and he drove for 30 years very proud of my father. And today of course he has chronic pain. He has all kinds of anxiety and stress issues from being in Vietnam and from driving a truck for 30 years. So he takes 500 milligrams a day of a broad spectrum CBD. Now that's not just an isolate and isolate CBD is single source of CBD that is used and say for example, like a roll on cream is just CBD, that's the term isolate broad spectrum. CBD products contain CBD but other sister CBD cannabinoids like CBG, CBN, CB, V, etc. So a broad spectrum is CBD with other sister type of CBD compounds. And then of course, you have full spectrum, which is a broad spectrum mix plus the THC. Of course, I like to talk about isolette and broad spectrum hemp based products with zero THC. So my going back to my father, he takes 500 milligrams of CBD a day. That's broad spectrum because I believe he needs the benefits of CBD and the other, you know, synergistic effects from the other compounds to increase his relief and his recovery from being in the truck for 30 years and his experiences in Vietnam. He takes it you know, he takes a role on cream a couple of times a day and he takes a couple oil tinctures a day and he eats about four or five gummy bears throughout the day because I fully believe in the balance of taking CBD in different delivery forms. So you can absorb it differently different times of the day and really get the you know, the overarching you know, synergy of the benefits from CBD broad spectrum and isolate that way. Now, I have another friend who is a long haul airplane pilot he leaves every single week from Boise, Idaho, to San Francisco and flies to Guam. And he takes four years, that's very stressful. And he takes he takes a straight oil product is an oil tincture that is broad spectrum and he takes that to help calm himself and stress anxiety of flying that that that cargo plane to Guam every single week. You know and he takes about three or 400 milligrams when he takes his tincture because it helps him calm does not put him asleep but at all This helps him calm puts him into like, you know that IQ state zone that's that's calmness and very thoughtful and that's what CBD does for him. So, you know, CBD, CBD you cannot overdose on it and think about this in the history of mankind and the social media out there that every 30 seconds you see a post and every 30 seconds someone's you know, so glamorous out there changing their life. If there ever was a case of someone overdosing from CBD, it would be immediately on social media, it would be all over the news, right? So you cannot overdose from a hemp based CBD product is very helpful. And there's different types of dosing you can take. I give you two examples of my father taking 500 milligrams today because he's got chronic pain, he's got arthritis, he's got some anxiety issues to a friend of mine who flies airplanes, you know internationally.

Rick Anson:

Now, none the education piece of this. We talked about isolate CBD, broad spectrum CBD and full spectrum CBD, and you know, isolated being a single CBD plant compound, broad spectrum being CBD plus other cannabinoids, which we call minors. So CBD is the major component, say we'd be like 90% of the formula is the CBD with some minors, meaning smaller amounts of CBG CBN CbV. That's a lot of the broad spectrum products. And then of course, you have full spectrum, which is that broad spectrum with the addition of THC. And by the way, in this country, United States, it is legal to have full spectrum, CBD products that contain point zero 3% THC, that is legal, and it's legal. Around the country. However, again, I'm a full advocate of zero THC free products. So let's talk a little bit about dosing. Right, because people that I don't know how much to take, I don't know what to do. Should I give it to my pet? How much? So here's a general rule of thumb, right? Go slow and test, right. So I would say as a common rule on a daily basis, that you should be taking 20 to 30 milligrams of CBD daily, right, we heard about two years ago. 2020. Take five milligrams. Well, that's because people didn't know how much to take. They didn't know you know how it worked on the body, then fully understand this is natural and safe without the THC as so many additional wellness benefits. So my recommendation is take about 20 milligrams of CBD a day. And you can take that a number of ways, right, like gummy bears or 10 milligram gummy bears. You could take one gummy bear maybe two gummy bears throughout the day. They taste great. It's a great form to take them in. Just understand that gummy bears have a delayed onset, right so they have to be digested in your stomach, then then they have to be processed into the upper intestine before you start filling the benefits. So you meet meet me meet take an hour before you feel the benefits from that CBD gummy bear. If you take a topical cream, which a lot of people like to start with the topical cream, if you're a beginner, right, then you can roll that on specific areas that you're sore, maybe your lower back, for example, or your muscles from working out or you have pain or inflammation in certain areas and your knees or from playing tennis. You can rub that topical on. A lot of topical creams are about 1000 milligrams total in that role on for example. So when you roll on a couple of times you may be getting five to 10 milligrams per application which is fine. I fully believe that you should you know, play around with it. You should do different forms like a topical maybe a couple of gummy bears. I absolutely believe you should take an oil tincture in the morning and at night. That's a sublingual dose. You simply take the tincture, you can fill it halfway which is about 15 milligrams or full tinctures like 30 milligrams, put an EQ or Tom let it absorb through the mucous membranes, which is just a sublingual absorption and it goes through mucous membranes from your tongue into your bloodstream directly. It's a great way to try CBD. It's natural if you buy a pure form of CBD oil, tinctures. So you can you can try it throughout the day. With some gummy bears are oral, some sublingual oil, tinctures and topical creams and you can you know test does this work for me at 20 or 30 milligrams. A lot of people have Chronic pain. A lot of people in this country. In fact, I just read a stat, this is June 2022, that 91% of people in this country that buy CBD are buying it for anti stress, anti anxiety right now. So, you know, if you have a high level of stress, a high anxiety level, maybe it's a relationship, maybe you're trying to lose weight and you can't lose weight, maybe it's the job. You know, we all have daily stresses, right? I have a daughter in college is a first year college. So there's my daily stress. So you may want to take 30 to 50 to 60 milligrams a day that helps you, you know, steady in with calmness and helps with your stress and anxiety. You may have chronic pain, maybe it's a football injury, maybe your professional or collegiate athlete that's in chronic pain from your sport, you should absolutely be dosing at 100 to 200 milligrams a day, to help with that chronic pain to help that take that pain away naturally and safely. Right. And then of course, we have a whole nother category, people with opioid addiction in this country a lot. There is a lot of people who have tried to get off of designer drugs, we're off of opioids, and they're taking 1000 milligrams a day. Now that may seem like a lot to you if you're a beginner, and it certainly is. But for a lot of people, particularly people in Nevada, California, Colorado, where CBD has been around for 10 years, that you know, they built the tolerance, right, you take 20 milligrams, and it works for you. And then you need to take 50 milligrams, but a lot of people are using this as a safe way to get off of drugs, death of opioids and off their medications that you know are addictive, right. And most of them have side effects I've mentioned in previous episodes, I work for big pharmaceutical companies, I fully understand the wet how big pharma works, and how they get you hooked onto addictive drugs and then wants you to to pay that money every single month for the rest of your life. So a lot of people are using this naturally to get off of those types of things, which is fantastic. So as a beginner to recap 10 to 20 milligrams a day, I would recommend taking that in a couple different forms like a gummy bear, and a roll on maybe an oil tincture. If you're an athlete, if you have some sort of chronic pain, I would I highly encourage you to be looking at 50 to 100 milligrams a day. If you have high stress levels, high anxiety. And then again, now we're talking if you go into another category for chronic pain or opioid addiction, you can go up to 1000 milligrams a day is safe is non toxic, and even the World

Health Organization in 2019 came out and said that CBD is safe and non toxic and non habit forming. And that's a governing body, you know, World Health Organization governs is an overarching overarching governing body for many organizations in the United States and throughout the world. So there you go. That's how you should start if you're beginner, an intermediate user or a full time daily user for chronic pain. That's my thoughts and my experiences over the last 10 years. If you try one of the doses that recommend the day, more than likely you've tried a very small dose of CBD maybe five to 10 milligrams and likely didn't fill in the fact I encourage you to try when the doses I laid out because that is where we are today with stress and anxiety and pain relief and all the things I mentioned before. Try when these doses today I fully believe will make a difference in your quality of life.
