Favorite Podcast
This has become my new favorite podcast, and I don’t even want to become a stand-up comic! I love Mike Birbiglia’s calm, friendly interactions. He breaks down how to do stand-up and talks to amazing guests and I could just listen all day. My favorites so far are Ira Glass and Fred Armisen.

Love Mike Birbiglia’s podcast Working It Out
I had the pleasure of seeing Mike perform in the East Village years ago with my friend The New York Times reviewer Neil Genzlinger who gave him a rave. I’ve enjoying his live shows ever since! And now the entertaining and informative podcast! Bravo!

May distract from chores
This show somehow has me laughing out loud one minute, and makes me stop to admire the sincerity and generosity MB so freely offers his guests the next. It’s truly refreshing.

Great
Great podcast. So many amazing episodes (David Sedaris, Apatow, Pete Holmes, Gaffigan, Jack Antonoff, and so many more). But one of the best episodes is the one with Please Don’t Destroy because of how much better it is than their interview on You Made It Weird with Pete Holmes

Don’t sleep-walk on this one!
I’m a birBIGlia fan of Mike Birbiglia. I have loved his comedy for many years.
He has a unique delivery and an amazing writing style that I really appreciate. Now he has a podcast that I love.
The guests are always interesting and often hilarious.
If you love all things comedy and you like creative conversations, with thoughtful analysis on things like, writing, stand up, movies, creative processes then this is for you!
If you don’t like any of that and you just like to laugh or need an escape then this is also for you.

Favorite podcast!
Long term fan of the podcast and it keeps getting better and better. Mike is a wonderful and thoughtful interviewer. He makes his guests feel comfortable. It’s a joy to learn about comedians process. I recommend this to all my friends, families, enemies, you name it!

Edifying and Hilar!
The Jane Wickline Liva Pierce episode was a delight. I have been singing the pornhub song all day — and I’m a kindergarten teacher! Hahaha kidding about the teacher part. So fun!

My Go-to Podcast
This is my go-to show when I’m in the studio drawing or painting. I’ve been listening for years now (yes, I own a Helix mattress and now use Mint Mobile) and finally am getting around to writing a review! I always love a Pete Holmes episode, and some other favorites are Ramy Youssef, Kate Berlant, and Janine Harouni. Have a listen, it’s a good time.

Love the show!
Love the show! I really enjoy Mike’s stand up specials and loved seeing him on the Please Stop the Ride tour. I just followed show and didn’t even notice the premise. I love getting to listen to the work that comedians do to create sets. The interviews are fun, funny and also informative. It has become a favorite podcast.

Easy listening and fun guests
I really enjoy listening to podcasts. I’ve been a fan of Mike’s for a while, and this introduces me to new comics and lets me listen to comics I know talking about their lives and what they do. Each one is like a little comedy special of its own. My recent favorites were with Atsuko Okatsuka and Nikki Glaser. And as I was writing this review, a different podcast started autoplaying and I’m annoyed and need to go back now to pick a different Working It Out episode. Because other bonus: they have a LOT of back episodes.

I mean, I love Birbigs times infinity, so I knew I’d love this pod, but I certainly wasn’t proven wrong in my undying love for this wildly talented guy. Bravo, sir!
Not to downplay Joey, but after listening since episode 1, I’m not certain Mike is the coolest bro and I’mHere for every minute of it

BEST Podcast around!
If you love funny, poignant, irreverently smart humor..if you are a creative person in any way, you will LOVE this podcast. And who doesn’t love Mike Birbiglia?! I have laughed and I have learned so much about the creative process as a writer!! Keep doing what you are doing, Mike! You are inspiring and uplifting in the most difficult of times!!

Unique and exceptional
This is one of my favorite podcasts because it combines interview with behind the scenes access to the world of comedy. Love the Ira Glass episodes as well as introductions to many comics I hadn’t heard of previously. Tell your friends! Tell your enemies!

Recommend The Good Life and podcast
The Good Life a great mix of serious and funny, and Mike does an excellent job of moving between the two seamlessly. The serious parts are thoughtful and compelling and the laughs are a pleasant relief. As a long-time listener of the podcast, it was interesting/fun to recognize some of the jokes that I heard him “working it out“ previously.
