In this episode, we have Susan Frager. In 1993, Susan, a newly licensed clinical social worker, got her dream job as an employee assistance therapist. After a series of unexpected events, she ended up a care manager for a managed behavioral health vendor. Disgusted at what she saw, she took a leap of faith to start a medical billing company, never again to engage in clinical practice.

20 years later, she started Your Billing Buddy as a solution for a myriad of new challenges that have become headaches for billers in the mental health niche.

Your Billing Buddy helps mental health providers - especially smaller practices - to do their own billing, save themselves $ while having a safety net, a place they can turn when they need help in getting complex claims paid, and a resource to learn about what they need to know in order to deal with payers.

Your Billing Buddy is also a referral resource for billing/RCM companies who find that contracting with a very small solo mental health practice does not make economic sense, offering a reliable, trusted, and experienced professional who can provide expert services.

And as a resource to billing/RCM companies of any size, Susan can provide residual billing training to new employees, as this has been one of her greatest challenges in operating a revenue cycle management firm for mental health.
