Of course, the narrative being pushed is that many pets get lost, and microchipping them would be the easiest way to locate them. But many do not believe this is the real reason for the mandate. On social media, I observed several comments from people who believe there is something more sinister behind this mandate. Comments such as, "first the pets, then it's the humans" were scattered throughout out different social media platforms. Only a few positive comments were posted of some who actually wanted the free microchips for their pets.
The overall feeling is people do not trust their government, both local and federal. And the majority of commenters feel as though this mandate is government overreach. From an Israelite perspective, we should come to expect this to be a sign of things that shall shortly come to pass. Even the commenters that stated first it's the pets, then it's the humans have some understanding of the true agenda of the wicked elites.
