Listener Reviews

Thank you my brother!
As Joan Didion said “Grief turns out to be a place none of us know until we reach it.” I’m sorry you’re having to feel the feels of pain & loss. You’re in my thoughts Marc & I wish you peace. Thank you so much for staying with us (very selfless of you)❤️ Best Regards, Wendy
The Best
Maron is my favorite podcaster. I have listened to 800+ episodes. I am so impressed with the structure of his interviews. The content is always deep, funny or entertaining. You do have to get ok with his quirks…but that is what makes the show authentic. I believe he has matured as a human through this podcast.
Jackson Browne interview
Marc, that was the best interview hands down. You are so talented at knowing when to ask questions and when to listen. I love your style, sensitivity, humor and intellect ~ so glad I discovered your podcast!
The Man
Marc always makes me laugh! I also love how he gets so into the stories and how he can pull insight from guest that aren’t prepared to share that amount of truth. He great at showing the legends are still just vulnerable people too.
My FAVORITE podcast
There are times when I can’t relate to the guest, but I look forward to hearing Marc’s current events, HILARIOUS!!!! I am a faithful listener. For those who don’t like it, hey....you can’t please everyone. By the way, I love rocking my Marc Maron T-shirt in the airport. Only the real ones recognize. :-) #BoomerLives
It Wasn’t Hilarious
I say again, it wasn’t hilarious.
Juliette Lewis
The recent interview was so amazing, you never see Juliette on any interview shows so this was a real treat Marc got to talk to her.Danny Elfman was so interesting. What an amazing interview!
Great Interviews!
Great subject matter, even the artists I've never heard of ended up being great shows to listen to. It's also great to hear others talk about food issues - I don't hear that enough.
The GOAT
There is ONLY one podcast where Apple has never asked “Are you still interested?” I’ve never missed one. And I’m a OG from ‘09... 💯
Santino
Andrew and Marc was a great listen
Maronmania
After discovering this podcast in 2019, it got me through some difficult times. I now listen to every episode. Feels like therapy sometimes but also good for entertaining stories and book and music recommendations. And cat talk! Marc is the best - I always listen from start to finish.
Gave Kaplan
“I remember that”, a phrase that Marc frequently uses is what the audience wants explored and Marc does just that. Marc is the best in reviewing the path of a comedian’s career whether still on the stage or enjoying life without the uncertainty of show business.
How have I only JUST started listening to this?
Kicks the cr*p out of a LOT of podcasts. Two way conversation rather than a monologue with a guest there to just laugh at the host or be a conduit to a rant.Easy to listen to, interesting content, not stupidly long... and I like how he challenges his guests- he isn’t afraid to question and clarify even if it can lead to an awkward moment. Great guests too! Nice.
Let’s hear less about you
Really like the podcast. I like your interview style. BUT, try to talk less about your career. Honestly I never heard of you. I do not care about how your stand up or movie career experiences have been. Or who is now in charge of the places people mention in the past. Concentrate more on the subject. But good podcast overall.
Old notebooks!
You should auction your old note books off proceeds going to charity! Thanks for the entertainment!
Great Interview
After listening to Steve talk about his life and journey I appreciate his music more. Even paused the podcast so I could listen to a couple of songs with a new ear. Thanks.
Thank you for your openness and trust
Too bad Marc outshone Steve Miller- he does have more character and charisma than ol’ Steve, but if he realized it during the interview he sure kept it under wraps. Thanks, Marc.
Thanks for great chat
Could we have Arj Barker, would be great to listen to you both
Greater Depth
Marc’s interviews show that he has direct interest in his guest or he does some research. As a listener, it seems like both. As an example, to know and meaningfully discuss the songs on Nancy Wilson’s new album rather than simply plugging it is refreshing. Because of that I am listening to previous casts and really enjoying them.
Love it ❤️❤️❤️
I've been listening for years. I laugh, I cry, I feel connected, your vulnerability and intelligence give me a sense of.. hope in the world.Occasionally I'll fast fwd or skip, but hey, that's ok. Most of the time I'm drawn into some remarkably.. deep insights and humour, I'll be sewing away and laughing out loud with my ear phones on and thinking, what a legend, you and your guests. I connect with similar understandings, or see things in a new way.. love your work. Incredible collection of stories and experiences 🌟
Tom Jones
A surprisingly fun and vibrant interview! Take a listen to this. Lots of stories.
Enough Talent to Fill a Pod!
I’ve been listing since the beginning and love this show! If you’re sick of wave of COVID lockdown talented successful actors pod clutter give Marc a chance. His wit and charm is only surpassed by his care and sincere interest in knowing his guest. Great conversation and his end of show guitar playing is starting to get bearable.
THE YO YO MA EPISODE
This one really hit home for me and humbled the crap out of me as a musician. I’m 26 and the last time I heard of Yo-Yo was when watching Arthur on PBS (brings back so many good memories). Yo-Yo Ma is such a wholesome, sweet guy, but is still able to enjoy crude jokes with Marc. Marc, you’re an amazing interviewer and great at choosing guests. My day just improves whenever I tune in! Thank you ❤️
Fantastic
Best thing on the internet.
