Marc Maron makes everything better
Raitt Guitar Tune
The guitar at the end of the Denise episode was sick. Sounded like Zeppelin.
Love this podcast! Love Marc Maron!
I especially love the diversity of Marc’s guests—something you don’t see in other podcasts hosted by white male comedians.Marc is an expert interviewer and gives ample space for his guests to speak. He’s generous, enlightened, and open. And he interjects personal experiences only as a way to connect and push the conversation forward.Case in point—the Rosie Perez episode. It may be my favorite all time podcast. Thanks since 2015-Grace
Good podcast
The only reason I’m not giving this 5 (I love Marc’s interviewing style a lot) is case I’ve only heard of 10-20% of his guests🤷🏻‍♂️
Michael Che
New to this podcast and this was great. Perfect interview for both guys. Made me leave wanting more. Thanks Marc. Will definitely listen to more
Rosie
There have been very good interviews before, but this one was outstanding. Rosie allowed herself to go to such an intimate and vulnerable place because she sensed that she was in Marc’s safe hands. Thank you both for something that touched my heart and soul.
Rosie Perez- Fantastic Episode
I loved listening to Marc and Rosie’s rich conversation. It was warm, funny, revealing and thoughtful. Marc was dialed in, and the connection he and Rosie made was lovely. I appreciated Rosie’s insights about one’s inherent strength being present before and despite trauma, rather than the false idea that strength is gained through traumatic trials. The episode has put me in a wonderfully reflective headspace.
Love Rosie
Your Rosie Perez interview was amazing. I could have listened to you guys for hours. Best interview I’ve heard in a long time. Love to Rosie. Her honesty was beautiful.
Love this podcast
I needed a bit of time to get used to Marc and his podcast (the first part of his episodes are about 15-30 minutes of Marc ranting about something and I used to fast forward to the guest.) Now I look forward to listening to the beginning and I find that I enjoy him and his rants. His interviewing skills are the best and he gets his guests to really share and open up. I cannot live without this pod cast.
Why delete past interviews?
I scroll back looking for certain ones and they always seem to be missing.. why for?
Marc Maron: a people whisperer.
The conversation with Rosie Perez is truly one of Marc’s best episodes, compelling.
Rosie Perez
Thank you both. This was an amazing podcast. Two artists having a very honest and vulnerable moment. In some ways there is a touchstone to humanity in what was shared. Sending lots of love xoxo ❤️
Best episode ever IMHO.
Marc really shines on this one, knows and understands his guest, giving this extraordinarily talented woman a safe platform to express herself. Very moving experience. But Marc, don’t go back to smoking!!!! Cigars…..ewwwww.😎❤️🐾🙀
Mt. Rushmore podcast
Not only is he one of the best comedians walking the planet today, he's one of the best interviewers in the game, too. He makes it all seem effortless, even though it's obvious that he puts in the hours of preparation it takes to be as well-rounded as he is. He gets more out of his guests than they thought they might've had going into it. If he ever comes to your town, buy tickets immediately.
Rosie Perez
Marc your interview with Rosie Perez was very powerful. I suggest in the future that when you have an interview discussing abuse you warn people before hand that you will be discussing family and institutional abuse. Speaking as a therapist I’m sure some of your listeners were triggered by her discussion. How sad that families and religious institutions can perpetuate such abuse and get away with it. The Catholic Church should be ashamed. She truly is a remarkable spirit.
Relatable person
Marc Maron how do I relate to you? Let me count the ways…
Thanks Marc
Love the show. Respect the honesty…loss, death addiction, family, forgiveness, accepting responsibility and trying to play nice. Please interview Iggy Pop!! Stay safe bro
Relax guys we are all changing at all times.
The beauty of Marc is that he knows he’s not for everyone and he’s going to do whatever the eff he wants, always. I love his rants in the beginning. I cried with him when Lynn died. His vulnerability and openness is what makes the podcast so real and intimate. He is an amazing interviewer which is why he has interviewed some of the most influential and historic individuals of our time. If you don’t want to get to know the guy then this probably isn’t for you. All the hate on him is a little dramatic, people are allowed to change and evolve. Chill people. Great listen!
Open communication
I see some complaints about how Marc is sharing too much about his personal feelings. I'm pleased he's talking things out and trying to work out issues, both with himself and his guests. Our world is full of sadness and anger. These pushed down feelings result in senseless murders at grocery stores and synagogues. Keep it up and bravo!
Marc is the King of Podcasts!
Marc you’re the whole package. Love your thoughtful interview style that reveals many joyful insights about your guests. Sandra Oh, Caroline Rhea and Taraji P Henson were standout interviews in particular. 😊😊
Sandra Oh
This interview is in my top three favorites. Love Sideways too! Read the book, stayed in the hotel where it was filmed, visited the ostrich farm. Sandra Oh sounds like an amazing human. Great dynamic during interview.
Doobie Bro.
Another soundtrack of our lives. I remember singing Yellow Submarine. Thank you for triggering 🌻❤️🙏🏻
