Discarding a gem
This podcast was one of the reasons I maintained my years-long Washington Post subscription after all the recent politically driven changes. I may now cancel it.
Sadly shelved
Really enjoyed this show. Sad to see Bezos killing another aspect of true to life reporting at the Post. One of the reasons we subscribed. Will be switching to the NY Times when our current subscription ends. Good riddance Jeff.
missing you
this wonderful show should not have been the thing to go
Thank You
For almost the entire time the podcast was out there I have been listening. My morning commute will never be the same. Thank you for all the hard work and all the stories.
Maddening!
What a disappointing decision to end this podcast in favor of… we all know what! I thoroughly enjoyed the podcast, hosts & journalism. Sad ending.
Sad farewell to Post Reports
I’m sorry to see Post Reports go. It’s disappointing to see brilliant aspects of the Post shut down, but very much expected to see Jeff Bezos’ unrelenting ignorance and opportunism take center stage in this climate. Maybe now he can allocate his meager funds toward sprucing up his poor public image.
Say it ain’t so
I’ve been listening since day 1 and simply can’t wrap my head around the decision to discontinue this podcast. The reporting has been incredibly important and invaluable to the fabric of our society. A truly sad end to an excellent source of news. Martine, Colby, Elahe, EVERYONE involved with this pod will be sorely missed. You should all be proud of what you created and gave to the American public. Until we meet again….
A Travesty
Post Reports has been apart of my morning routine for years. I want to thank all the staff who have worked on this podcast. The journalism was impressive, thorough, and impartial. Y’all are already missed!
Tell me it isn’t true!!
I am horrified that the post is eliminating this wonderful podcast. You guys have been by my side for over 5 years and I will dearly miss your engaging, insightful reporting. You should consider leaving Jeff Bezos in the rear view mirror and continuing the podcast on your own.
Maurice Bishop, and others
Dear Martini P. Thank you for your report! It is interesting and brings sadness to Lear more about the subject. For your information at that time the US participation on repression of central and South American was very extensive , you probably can get more information about it from reliable source ; my point to comment about your report is to confirm that making people “ despair “ was a distinct characteristic of the participation of the US interfering on the political and economic affairs of this country’s ; I’m sure you will find more information on the subject ; because it was recently on the news “ that the US had to return much of this information to Argentina , not just the information but also some planes that were used to dump bodies on the ocean (after this peoples where disappeared) Not just in your parents country but many others in South America. Thank you for thre report and your consideration. M from Argentina.
My 7 Year Old Friend, Thank You
Getting emotional listening to this last episode. Thank you for the last 7 years. It has been an honor.
Heartbreaking
Thank you to Martine and all the wonderful reporters who worked on this podcast. I’m so sorry for what Bezos has done to the Post. You all deserve better.
i will miss this!

Incredibly sad to see this go
I listen to Post Reports daily. I love it! Like another reviewer, this was the reason I subscribed. I’m terribly sad to hear the team say farewell. We need you guys!
F Jeff Bezos
I really enjoyed Post Reports. I’ll miss this show.
Goodbye and thank you
I am so sad to hear this show is ending. It was truly special. Thank you to the amazing journalists who made this happen.
Podcast ending
I’m truly sad to see The Washington Post podcast come to an end. As a subscriber, it became a valued part of my daily routine and a trusted way to stay connected to the news. The reporting was thoughtful, clear, and consistently high quality, making even complex topics easy to follow. I genuinely appreciated the care and credibility that went into each episode. It will certainly be missed and leaves a meaningful gap for listeners who relied on it for informed, engaging daily news.
I feel so bad
I feel bad that post reports is gone my every morning listening. Education is gone. Your knowledge will be missed. I also feel bad that clearly Jeff Bezos doesn’t have enough money to keep the post alive and healthy
No Way. Do Not Cancel This
Really upset that Washington Post ripped apart this awesome podcast. Hate WP!
You will be sorely missed
Thank you all for your incredible work on this podcast. I have been listening for a number of years now and I have always looked forward to the next episode. Your shows have uplifted my spirit in the wildness of the world and I will be forever grateful.
I’m so sorry
The Post is one of our few iconic media properties. Since Mr. Bezos has serious conflicts of interest I wish he would sell the paper to another willing and able to support the paper. I was horrified to learn that the Only journalist in Ukraine has been fired in the midst of the warMr. Bezos needs to find a philanthropist who can perhaps run the paper as a non-profit or absorb the loss. The post is a common good like electricity and water. Again, I am so sorry for those losing their positions and am devastated for our country that needs a functioning, legitimate media
