Listener Reviews

This is what it’s all about
I’ve always loved Lex. But giving Scott 10 hours to lay out what we all should’ve already known is next level. Thank you Lex and Scott!
Suggestions 😁
Hi Lex, you are great and I am a big fan of yours. The reason for this review is I really enjoy how deep you go I. These conversations, my more favourite shows are the ones with entrepreneurs, athletes and sport coaches. But I would also like to mention if you could interview Mario Zelaya, Jordan Peterson and Pierre Poilievre. I can see those being some amazing conversations. The episodes that really stood out to me were, Teddy, Elon, Bezos and Cuban
Duck & Cover!
Y’all about to be called anti-semites, Scott H and Lex F! Why? Because that’s what always happens if you don’t agree w/ Israel’s geno. You’ll soon see Israel will start stealing W. Bank land and anything else they can get their hands on. This was ALWAYS the plan for Net to create a Greater Is. any way he can. Makes me sick to realize I’m correct about this - it’s what I feared all along. U.S. MUST remove itself from this sick and twisted, corrupt foreign nation. It’s beyond disgusting.
Became sensationalist
The longer the podcast runs, the longer it becomes (I don’t have 4 or 8 hours to spend listening). Some episodes are fantastic but the quality of guests is generally declining. While hearing both sides is good, it works only if the conversations maintain a sufficient intellectual level. Exploring the opposing view is fine, pushing propaganda from the opposing side is not.
Favorite podcast
Thank you for sharing, your ability to conduct very detailed conversations with experts from various disciplines, cultures, and interests is fascinating to follow. I never thought I would be interested in a 5 hour conversation about programming but your ability to keep highly technical content interesting to listeners is unique. Your background and accomplishments open to door to guests other shows can’t attract and you are able to keep the discussion interesting to casual observers. Thank you for shining a light on people and subject matter I would not be exposed to otherwise.
Boring style
Love the guests but lex is boring
Kind, sincere, & fair listener.
It is very refreshing to listen to such an intelligent individual who interviews such a wide range of people. I appreciate your approach on difficult topics. You are always a kind, sincere and fair listener. I believe you really want to hear and understand the point of view of others . That is a rare quality these days! Thank you!
Guest Suggestion
If you do decide to have Benjamin Netanyahu on again, you better be prepared to hold his feet to the fire, and push back on his lies. Also inquire why Israel harbors pedophiles, and members of their Knesset practice ritual sexual abuse of their own children.
very inslightful
I just subscribed and love Lex. Every episode is greatly insightful.
Lex is a journalist too
I have enjoyed these long-form conversations that reveal Lex’s kindness and curiosity as he patiently explores the minds of fascinating humans.
Can you have Joe Rogan and Kash Patel on?
Ok that would be great thanks
A request
Thank you for your wonderful podcast! I enjoyed listening to Edward Gibson very much. Would you consider interviewing a scholar about natural language semantics. Please…:)
Simply my favorite podcast
I’ve tried a lot of podcasts, and on the balance, as a show and as a host, Lex Fridman is my favorite. Thank you and keep up the great work.
thank you for creating beauty!
if Myshkin is right and beauty will save the world, then Lex will have contributed heavily to bringing about that end. in a world where so many intellectuals choose to devolve into ideological mud throwing contests, this show is a beacon of nuance, openness, and curiosity. Lex has distilled interviewing down to an art, and i highly recommend giving it a listen! also for all the people who make fun of his “peace and love” takes, what’s your solution? hate and war? 😂
More Please
Big fan of the deep content exposed by critical questions. Please interview: Bartle Bull, author, Land Between the Rivers: A 5,000-Year History of Iraq
Great cast
Love the podcasts and have some great guests on! Only thing I’d add is that the political stuff just isn’t for me.
Episode 446
You are onto something with your observation of the link between freedom of speech and thought. This is the incubator for innovation because of a conservation of energy reality. The mind can only track so many things at once and greatness requires full subject attention. When the mind is distracted by unproductive thoughts like speech codes especially when there are real world consequences to those banned thoughts being expressed, the mind isn’t completely free - energy isn’t free to explore and expand understanding. It becomes trapped in a cage of worry and fear. This inhibits innovation. The mind, like a pie, becomes carved up to the extent that a lesser percentage can focus on one’s natural interests and passions and with it the expression of intelligence is compromised. I hope this makes sense.
Deeply insightful - AI
Deeply insightful interviews that are evolving our collective understanding of science, technology, and AI. I hope he will interview Frederico Faggin, the inventor of the first microprocessor and the clearest thinker I have ever encountered on the nature of consciousness, AI, and why machines can never be conscious. Truly remarkable insights. If you listen to him carefully (or read Irreducible) you will never be the same again, in the best sense! An intellectual journey to the farthest frontier but grounded in experience, insightful and deep thinking, and sound science. Frederico Faggin.
Unusual
Someone sent me a link to a Lex podcast, it took me 2-3 months to finally listen to it because I didn’t know who he was and it was a couple of hours long. But over time I started listening more regularly and have grown to really appreciate his unemotional but intelligent style - and a few choice words along the way. I’m an ME by education/profession and am used to thinking things through, not having emotional reactions. Here I get that too but about subjects I don’t much about but know are important.
Biased, but obvious about it
Love the podcast, particularly when Lex lets the other participants talk.
Amazing
Lex is clearly a great human being. Extremely balanced debate, wonderfully researched. Gives all sides the opportunity to be interviewed. I’ve learned so much from these podcasts. Thank you, Lex.
Not Antisemitism, dude.
Douglas Murray acts baffled over how/why the world is so disturbed/disgusted by Israel’s genocide & torture of Palestinians IN ORDER to land grab. HERE’S WHY: Evidence overwhelmingly proves it. It’s unfortunately a factual matter & history will continue to prove it.
Reflections
This pod has given me so many amazing glimpses into different worlds and opened my mind to some amazing concepts. It felt organic and purposeful. Wading into politics was a brave attempt but Lex gave Trump some feedback and I’ll give the same to Lex- you are at your best when painting an inspiring vision of the future. Thank you Lex.
