BasTalk - life at work.
Welcome world, to BasTalk - your podcast about life at work, where we talk about stuff that no one really tells you at work. That said if you are looking for some major management mumbo jumbo, this is not it. BasTalk has no life-changing advice, no get-rich-quick insights, or paradigm-shifting fluff stuff to transform your life or turn you into a superhero overnight. Instead, it is a simple, slow burn, straight talk. If you're patient enough to listen to some practical and tactical insights from my 20+ years of corporate experience, then BasTalk might be the right podcast for you. Think of it as a constant companion while you are stuck in the traffic of office life or struggling to get on that morning walk of your career, BasTalk is with you. There are various topics, from people management and leadership to career insights and navigating office culture and politics as well. The goal, idea is to make you rethink, reflect and revisit many aspects of your career and life at work and see if you could do it any differently. If not, that's okay too! BasTalk is not etched in stone, it's a work in progress and the content on topics evolve as I learn, experience, and reflect on my own journey. I welcome you all to walk the BasTalk! 3 ways to tackle failures

3 ways to tackle failures

How did it feel when you won that MVP award? I'm sure it must've felt great. And how did it feel when you were left out for the promotion over your

fiercest rival? Miserable, I guess. How did it feel when you got your dream job, and what happened when you were laid off?

For many, the feeling of loss is a far stronger emotion than the thrill of a victory, because no one taught you how to cope with a loss.

So who taught you how to lose? Was it your teacher, your parents, friends, or siblings?

Chances are the answer for most people is no one.

We live in a world where the emotional distance between winning and losing is staggering. Yet, all management gurus advise not to be too affected by

either success or failure. The question is, how? How do we not get affected by a failure or a loss when the world constantly reminds us

of what we missed and what others gained?

Tune in to this episode of BasTalk, where I share a coping mechanism or framework to deal with failures, defeats, or losses.
