Great to hear other creatives talk about the ups and downs of their journey. Helps keep me grounded and focused on what's important while doing work I care about.
As a creative person, it can feel isolating to move through a world like ours. This podcast has been a great resource of information for those who have a creative perspective. It played a role in my own move from an academic career to doing what I truly love to do and making money at it.
Just listened to the episode with Hillary Weiss and got so much out of it. Thought-provoking, intelligent exploration of getting clarity on what makes you unique and the importance of focus.
I've been listening to Srinivas's podcast since my friend Gladys Ato was a guest (check out her awesome interview!). He's never disappointed in the value and inspiration he continues to bring to the table with his interviews - smart questions, allowing space for his expert guests to share their answers, and always giving me a golden nugget takeaway (or five). If you're looking for authentic, actionable tips and advice, I highly recommend The Unmistakable Creative.
As an artist starting out this podcast gave great information on the aspects of business and buyers I never thought of but are so important! Applicable to any business owner. Time spent listening was well worth it!
Loved listening to interview with Ashley stahl @schulmanArt host of the inspiration place podcast
It’s refreshing, inspiring, real, down-to-earth, and honest. I freaking love the host, his questions are on point, he’s vulnerable, and he asks exactly what Im curious to know about the guest. Good job 👍
yes there’s a lot of inspirational content here but what i enjoy most is the grounded nature of the host and conversations. as a solopreneur in the trenches i wish there were more shows like this
Hello Srini. I just wanted to reach out and tell you how much your work means to me. I started listening to you years ago when my marriage fell apart and I was a single mom, working full time at an ad agency while going to grad school. Your conversations were what got me excited to contribute to the world in ways that I didn’t realize before. I always appreciate your honesty and approach. Thanks for putting your voice out there. We are listening. And we need to hear it.
If you are a creative needing inspiration this podcast is for you! The host, Srini, has such a way with mining for valuable nuggets of wisdom from his insightful guests. Each episode sparks new ideas for me and gives me confidence to move forward with my creative ventures. Love it SO much!
I walk away from each episode inspired and curious. Interesting guests, informative interviews and great takeaways that have helped me both creatively and in business.
Sometimes tapping in to that creative side can be the last thing you want to do after a long work week, but when I listen to this show, I get inspired, and find the desire to push towards my creative goals. While the guests can be wildly different, and speak on different topics, you can always learn something that you can then take and incorporate into whatever it is you are trying to do. Worth every minute.
I’ve been a listener of Srinivas and the Unmistakable Creative Podcast for years. The guests are phenomenal and the dialogue is fantastic!! I ALWAYS take away nuggets of wisdom that I’ve applied in my business and my life. If you’re not a current listener you should... no... you MUST subscribe right now. This podcast is a game changer and you’ll be happy you subscribed. Oh... and if you’re like me looking for more... check out Srinivas books as well. Inspiring and informative filled with stories that will help guide you on your own “Unmistakable Creative” journey!
I was recently introduced to Srinivas Rao’s - The Unmistakable Creative podcast and after listening to my first episode by Lydia Denworth on the Science and Psychology of Friendship, I am completely hooked on it. I make it a point to spend my valuable 1-2 hrs listening to it daily, current and past episodes - this is almost a master class for my self-reflection and re installation! Srinivas has innate talent and ingenuity to make every episode genuine and humane. He has a gift of asking relevant, poignant, imperative and thought provoking questions and he has a methodical process of capturing essence of each conversation. The flow and narrative for exchange of information is deeply captivating! His guest and topics are very diverse and multidimensional in nature. Srinivas very pragmatically and meticulously peels each layer of conversation while balancing getting deeper insights into their personal experiences and social connections. Moreover, by doing this he opens the door for questions around fundamentals of life and thought provoking conversations for his readership. His personal experiences are very relatable and I have deep appreciation for his journey. It is always interesting to listen how he interweaves the wisdom offered by guests to his life experiences, which makes it relatable and generous. Thank you Srinivas! I would highly recommend listening to it regularly!
I really enjoy this podcast, Sirini interviews a huge variety of interesting and accomplished leaders. I really enjoyed the Laura Belgrey interview, she shared her winding path to success and it was very relatable. I highly recommend --
I’ve listened to Unmistakable Creative for over a year now, and it’s one of the few podcasts that have lasted me that long. I love the guests, I love Srini’s questions, the podcast length is good, and there’s not too many ads. Always makes me think about topics in a way I haven’t before, or hadn’t even thought about in the first place.
Srini expertly interviews a wide range of guests and together bring valuable & diverse perspectives to the table on every topic. The conversations are authentic, deep, and real, as are the insights provided. Well done!
Listened to my first episode (Tara Swart) and I’m officially a fan. Great job!!! You are a fantastic interviewer! Thank you.
Srinivas, host of The Unmistakable Creative Podcast, highlights all aspects of creativity, art and more in this can’t miss podcast! The host and expert guests offer insightful advice and information that is helpful to anyone that listens!
I was introduced to this podcast several years ago, I tried to listen then, but for some reason, it didn’t stick. Last week I came across a post where Srini was discussing how the audience of one will be there every morning, and it intrigued me, so I decided to give the podcast another listen. I cannot tell express how much each of the episodes I’ve listened to have resonated with me on so many levels. I wanted to reach out and say thank you...for all that you share, all of the inspiration and for the incredible thought provoking questions you ask your guests.
Really enjoy this podcast - Srini's conversations with all manner of creative people and perspectives, along with his own unique story and cultural background. As traditional paradigms of employment, identity and aspirations are rapdily shifting, this podcast helps to give guidance and shed light on possibilities for those invividuals that don't easily fit into the square boxes of longstanding societal expectations or want to try something new - helpful inspiration for those of us that happen to be born on the Island of Misfit Toys. Strongly recommend it!
I’ve been listening to this podcast for well over a year and enjoy hearing new perspectives and from creative people. Srini has interviews with people from all walks of life so there’s a variety of points of view. The fun comes in as Srini always tries to apply the wisdom his guests offer to his own life, which is the hallmark of a true learner. Abstract ideas don’t acquire real meaning until we can find applications or connection to our own reality. Inevitably I too find ways to apply the lessons learned to my own life. It’s a great listen!!!!
A host who fosters fresh and valuable dialogue with interesting guests without any of the trite conversations plaguing podcasting? It shouldn’t be revolutionary but it is. Definitely recommend tuning in! 💃🏻
I love the tactical, honest and real rawness Stini delivers in this podcast. I hit subscribe and definitely can’t wait for the next show!!! For that listener that is ADDICTED to creating their future. For the listener who KNOWS they are destined for greatness but didn’t believe they could actually make money in it. This podcast is for you. Srini asks very candid and heart opening questions.
I stumbled across this podcast series by accident. One episode and I was hooked. Srini, the host, has tapped into a void in the podcast content world. His carefully curated guests + his excellent interviewing style make each one exceptional to listen to. After hearing a few episodes and taking crazy notes, I realized this was a masterclass in self-development. Now, I run each morning on the treadmill with a notebook propped up so I can jot down the pearls I glean from these conversations. The time goes so fast, I actually hate to jump off. Thanks Srini!
This is my favorite podcast. I started listening in 2016 and then binged listened to almost all of the episodes immediately! Srini has an absolute gift of asking poignant, important, interesting, and deep questions that matter and keep you captivated, learning, and seeing things from new perspectives. It doesn’t feel like the questions are for the audience as much as because he is genuinely curious and seeking answers and we get to benefit from it. It’s like listening in on their private conversation. The guests are diverse and somehow there’s always a mix of getting deep into their personal history and beliefs but still time to hear and learn the practical information about their work and how it can benefit the listener. Super good- highly recommend!!
Srini always does a wonderful job of exploring ways in which we can all be more creative. His interviews are in-depth and he covers a wide range of topics very well. Highly recommend!
I can always count on Unmistakable to create episodes that uplift my spirit, inspire wonder and give me a new perspective. This podcast has been my fav for 3 years. Amazing guests. Amazing interviewer. Amazing topics. You will want to have paper and pen handy for note taking!!
Really interesting to hear about Liberation Spring. Would love more on the idea of healing your imagination.
I’m always interested in the guests but often the recording has poor sound with echo’s and muffling. I also wish the questions were switched up a bit and a more conversation back and forth was had. Ad’s are jolting and splattered in randomly which is a shame. I think this podcast could be really great, so here’s hoping!
It seems only fitting to begin this review the way Srini ends each episode. To answer the question... this podcasts content and inspires unmistakable moments of identification with each of its guests. I also enjoy the cadence of Srini's questions, inputs, and isms. There is a level of humility in each episode and the guests are chosen for their accomplishments, rather than their status. Thank you Srini. I am a fan.
Srini has a way of bringing out the best in each guest so that what they share opens up your eyes to amazing new insights and perspectives on yourself and the world around you. I love this podcast!!
This is one of my favorite podcasts! Srinivas does an incredible job of having his guests open up and offer valuable insights for us listeners! Real take-aways all provided in an enjoyable and entertaining way. I recommend this podcast to anyone, and especially anyone who is interested in meaningfully progressing forward!!
Each episode is distinct and inspiring in its own way. Srini finds amazing guests who share their insights into all aspects of creative and whole-hearted living.
A life-line for aspiring individuals to connect their heart and mind to their everyday personal and professional work.
An absolute delight to listen to! What a refreshing find--real conversations, in-depth, insightful and anything but formulaic. Dive in and learn from a highly intelligent interviewer who asks amazing questions.
This podcast is fantastic! Real, true storytelling. Inspring stories and wonderful content. Srinivas has a way of making you feel like you are just listening in on a conversation inside of a coffee shop, where him and his guests dig into real stories without the fluff, and canned questions, and the "batch" interviews that you hear on many podcasts. I am a huge fan of this show!
If you have ever wondered what the secret to everything was, or you have been striving for goals unmet, then you have to listen to the interview with Srini Pillay published Jan 1, 2018. I have listed to it ten times. Great work!
i love this podcast. Srinivas Rao brings so many interesting and diverse people together to discover new things about creativity and how to bring it alive in the world. this podcast is inspiring and i recommend it to any creatives who want to be unmistakable!
Srinivas and his guests provide some incredibly actionable and compelling content, spotlighting profound stories from some of the world’s highest achievers on how they’re pioneering positive change both in their own life and the lives of others. Highly recommend listening and subscribing to The Unmistakable Creative if you want the knowledge AND mindsets to become the very best version of yourself (and reach your overall goals as a result)!
Missed hearing Dean Kosage and his talks for last few years. Learnt a lot from his 1 hr talk. Thanks Srinivas Rao for interviewing him
Perfect length for nuggets of wisdom. You MUST listen - one of the best interviewers on podcasts.
Overall, excellent interviews and content! I’ve been enjoying your podcasts since I heard about you several years ago. Enjoyed the Tiago Forte interview … Keep up the good work!
Especially enjoyed Andy Molinsky's interview and his "three C’s: Clarity, Conviction, and Customization." Other podcasts I listen to for action items, but this one goes deeper and, usually, I don't need to take notes because it sinks in.
I take away something extremely valuable from each podcast. I appreciate as well that Srini actually listens to his guests and asks them great questions. Thank you.
The Unmistakeable Creative is one of the best if not the best podcast out there. Siren interviews the most interesting people. I strongly recommend it to everyone.
Srinivas and his guests share inspiring and actionable lessons on how to be your best self in life and business. This show is one of a kind, and I highly recommend listening if you want the knowledge AND mindsets to get your creativity and life's purpose to work for you in achieving all your goals!
I've had the honor and privilege of Srini interviewing me, as well as reading his books and becoming friends. Unlike some podcasters, he's there for the guest and audience, not just himself. He makes you comfortable sharing, thinking, and revealing what you care about, even vulnerabilities. That's talent, experience, and caring about others.
Srini Rao is awesome and so are his thoughtful questions. I love this podcast and it makes me want to do something more with my life!
The best way for me to learn is through storytelling. This podcast brings stories that are fascinating. And I remember the details b/c of the stories shared. Great podcast!
This podcast goes beyond the fun side of creativity towards mind science which I love since I get a bit tired of "woo-woo" new agey stuff. I've listened to some episodes several times. Excellent stuff
As a creative myself, I really enjoy the conversations and what Srini brings to them as an interviewer. Just discovered this, but glad I did.
I came across this podcast series about a week ago. This is simply some of the best content out there for entrepreneurs, creatives, contemplatives, etc. These really are "must listen to" interviews. Jim Posner
My favorite podcast and I'm picky as I read a lot and get bored easily. Loved Srinivas' style of interviewing, learning just from that and then the guests and their insights, simply awesome. Truly unmistakable😀
I continue to dig through many prior (and current) episodes and do not grow tired of it... many unique insights and universal truths throughout.
I love so many things about Srini's podcast, but I think what I appreciate most is the thought put into his guests. Don't get me wrong, I'm a podcast junkie and enjoy hearing my favorites each time they're interviewed, but at times it does get a bit redundant. With Unmistakable Creative I'm constantly discovering new people and hearing new ideas, I love that. Thanks Srini! ☺️
This is one of my favorite podcasts! Srinivas Rao is one of the best interviewers in media period! He asks brillance questions and draws really authentic responses from his guests.
Srini and posse: just needed to take a second to let you know how valuable this podcast has been to me in the last year or so. The guests and your conversations with them are so inspiring. I just finished the episode with Samantha Bennett- WOW. Thank you for what you do. Cheers from Charleston, SC!
Srini asks the BEST questions - he is a truly gifted interviewer. Sadly, I have to unsubscribe to some other podcasts because they are becoming annoying ;-) My favorite thing: he doesn't edit out or avoid talking about various religious and spiritual views in detail.
I look forward to this podcast every week. Almost every guest has an interesting story and offers great insights into personal achievement and excellence. At the same time, the discussions are fairly well grounded.
I am really enjoying this podcast. The guests have been interesting and thought-provoking. Srini is a grounded interviewer who doesn't let his ego get in the way.
Srini is an attuned interviewer and I enjoy listening to all the thought provoking interviews with smart people leading all sorts of inspiring careers and desiging life on their own terms. Highly recommend if you're pondering the path of creating something of your own or at the beginning/mid point of that journey.
have been a big fan for a while. Srini is a great host full of awesome insight. love the conversations he has with his guests
Learned about this podcast from Jeanette Nyberg, who promoted it as a guest of Patty Palmer on the Art Made Easy podcast and am in love! As a creative individual, the content is both is fascinating and relatable. I especially enjoy how universal and transferable the key concepts are: well done!
I've been listing to the Unmistakable Creative for at least two years. It's part of my daily "Car University" education. Listening to each episode makes my brain explode with ideas to address with my clients and in my book and blogs. Love that Srini finds guests who aren't completely known in the mainstream yet and features their voices and ideas. Love this podcast and it's easily one of my Top 3 favorites!
These interviews are authentic, inspiring and full of epic quotes. I pre-ordered the Unmistakable Creative book because the content is so incredible. thank you for your amazing work!
I came across this podcast as I was searching for Ryan Holiday about a year ago and I've been addicted to listening ever since. The information has helped me work through things in my life and apply them in the real world. One of the main reasons I like it is because the episodes flow together with an underlying theme that helps the listener build on information from an earlier episode. Srini really gets into the meat by asking questions I would want to ask if I knew to ask them. This show is highly underrated and I recommend it 1000%.
This one is right up there with This American Life and Serial! Unmistakable has guests that will blow your mind every episode. Whether you work in their field or not. Srini is also one of the best interviewers I've listened to. The conversations are casual and always insightful.
The Unmistakable Creative is by far one of my favorite podcasts – and I listen to many! Srini is skilled at asking interesting and provocative questions, and I really enjoy his interview style. He knows how to keep things moving and I love how consistent themes run through each episode. I’ve also been incredibly drawn to his guests. I have no idea where he finds so many insightful people with such amazing stories to share, but I can honestly say that I’ve learned something from every single one. Srini, thanks for the great work. Keep it up - you bring so much to the table!
I love it! This has become a new place of inspiration for my long drives. I really appreciate the ideas and perspectives from so many people doing great things in the world.
Srini is a master interviewer and what's most interesting is the range of guests he has. I highly recommend this podcast!
I love these interviews, they have inspired me personally, led to blog posts from the material and inspiration I receive and I am always impressed by the guests, the questions and how good they are!
This podcast is excellent. Srini asks great questions to highly influential guests, and following an afternoon of listening I am leaving the office more energized, focused and motivated than I have felt in months. Thank you Srini!
This is a very engaging podcast with a lot of really great interviews. Highly recommend for anyone looking for some inspiration and new perspectives.
I’ve listened to my fair share of podcasts and this one takes the cake. As a creative entrepreneur this meets all my needs. The guests are incredible and Srini is a fantastic interviewer.
I am new to the podcast world, Unmistakeable Creative was one of the first podcast’s I’ve been introduced to and now I have high expectations! Fantastic interview questions & thought-provoking conversation. Felt like true insight into the daily thoughts of these creative leaders, aside from just their typical interviews.
This is a show where there have been times I have had to stop everything I’m doing to let the information sink in. It does more than move you, it stops you. I’m consistently amazed at the nuggets of wisdom Srini pulls out of his guests.
I just finished listening to Srini’s interview with Salim Ismail on The Keys to Exponential Personal and Professional Growth. Srini’s style of interviewing enables him to dig deeper on subjects that the listener wants to probe further. I have been listening to Srini’s podcasts since he rebranded to the Unmistakable Creative. He had me at creative. Salim’s body of work regarding what we are capable of accomplishing is so inspiring, especially his point of view that education should be treated as a system for learning, one that is continuous, regardless of our certificates or degrees. The half-life of a degree or a certain type of knowledge on a subject is shorter and shorter, meaning that technology changes will challenge us if we don’t keep up.
Srini has an incredible knack for identifying fascinating people and drawing out their most unique stories and insights. He is one of the most talented interviewers I have ever encountered, and his podcast is one of the select few shows I consume on a weekly basis. Srini’s work has inspired me to hold myself to the highest standard of creative excellence.
Srini is a master at finding inspiring people to tell their stories and at drawing out their wisdom. I've been listening for about three months now and I've never left a review on any podcast before - but I had to do it for the Unmistakeable Creative. Every week I tune in and at the end of the hour I'm just in awe - full of new things to wonder about myself, my purpose and my world. I pass on the wisdom of this podcast to anyone who will listen and I tell everyone I know that they are missing out if they don't make the Unmistakeable Creative part of their lives. Thanks for all the awesome content - it's truly been life-changing for me. Bless you.
I’ve been listening for about a year now and the interviews just keep getting better! When I need a boost, when I’m feeling lost, or alone, or just plain stuck—I literally play an episode of Unmistakable Creative and everything becomes clearer. Srini is an excellent interviewer and always goes for the deep. I’ve had breakthroughs of my own just from listening and would recommend this podcast to anyone who wants to feel more alive and more courageous inside of themselves. Unmistakable Creative is a life changer! Tune in now! Play an episode and let it awaken your heart and mind. <3
I have myself to thank for discovering The Unmistakable Creative (thanks self). I did a search on podcasts for artists and a could not stop recommending this to friends and family. I am a self taught artist working on expanding and sharing my work and the episodes are windows to worlds I would love to be part of, getting some time with great mentors I would otherwise never even heard of. Being an immigrant to the US, the past decade + was spent on work (any work!) and the time has come when I can “work” on things I am passionate about — creating, and could use all the help I could get (...for free : P) I wish all artists/creatives can have access to a computer + internet and get to listen to these practical, deep, enlightening true stories from creatives who are already living the beginners’ goals. Thanks Srini and team! Grateful for the work you do and hope you reach many more artists’ ears! Still “starving” here but my ears, mind and heart are full.
I have been listening to Srini for more than two years now. I don’t listen to every episode, but I know every time I hit play on one of these podcasts, I am in for great conversation, deep knowledge, and a more thorough understanding of whatever the topic might be. Keep it coming!
One of my favorite podcast. Actually, this is my “go to” podcast. I love the way Srinivas Rao conducts his interviews. He pulls out things that often cause the interviewees to say things like: “I’ve never talked about that before” This is excellence in podcasting.
This is an amazingly inspiring podcast series. Deep, personal and professionally done, you will be hooked!
I listen to a lot of podcasts on creativity and business and social economics. Unmistakable Creative an amazing blend of those 3 topics and is on the top of my must listen list every week. The very first episode I listened to was the 2 part show on How to live well and die well with Greg Hartle. If you are a new listener I recommend starting there. Thank you for investing in people.
Love the questions Srini asks during his interviews. Very good guests who bring insightful, authentic, and genuine answers to life questions that are relevant to me. Definitely recommend it.
Srini and team do an excelling job of putting together a compelling, provocative, dig-you-up-in-the-middle podcast that is literally changing my life. Thanks for such a great show!
Srini does a fantastic job interviewing some of the most thought provoking people! I often have to rewind parts of the podcast so that I can absorb everything that I’m hearing. I can’t wait to see who he interviews in 2016!
Srini Rao and his team are Unmistakable and absolutely inspirational! I’ve furiously listened to almost every single interview and have gleaned so many lessons I can’t count them all. If you want to learn, be inspired, and see another super-interesting view point on the world and humanity, listen to Srini and his team. So good!!! Congratulations to your entire team!!!
Thanks to the guys at Idea Lemon in Chicago, I found this fantastic podcast. If I don't have time to listen to anything else, I find time to listen to Srini and is guests. Have a listen and be inspired!
I've been listening to the Unmistakable Creative for a year now and I am still surprised and inspired by Srini's interviews. This podcast is a part of my daily routine and I have to re-listen to most episodes because there is so much to learn. This podcast is pure gold, especially if you are an entrepreneur or creative. Thanks, guys, for building something beautiful, powerful, and enjoyable.
I recently discovered Unmistakable Creative and was instantly hooked, some of my favorites thus far Jim Bunch, Greg Hartle, Dan Martell and Bob Goff. This recent discovery has been influential in my desire to reclaim my identity, my life and take the steps toward becoming a business owner and entrepreneur. I look forward to all that 2016 has in store and your is going to make it that much more worthwhile. Many thanks Srini, do carry on. Dan Solo
If you’re a creative, love to be inspired or just want to feel motivated, this podcast is meant to be your spirit animal. No lie. Srinivas is an amazing host and brings some amazing and interesting people onto his show. This show has given me great insight and inspiration on how to push myself as an artist, live deeply and reach my goals. It’s an energizing podcast full of creative, thought-provoking people with big ideas. Bar none - it’s the best podcast I’ve ever listened to and the content is easily on a much higher level than those other “top" shows I’ve listened to on iTunes.
I have been starting every day listening to a different episode. The unmistakeable creative has changed the way I great the day. I begin with positive, transformative, inspiring interviews that have literally changed the way I look at the world. Beyond grateful for this podcast. I highly recommend!
I'm a creative and that's not important. I'm someone who is creative and finally living sober, that's important. Right now the three constants in my life are AA meetings, creative work, and the U.C.P (Unmistakable Creative Poscast). For me I love hearing other creative's stories; I like the host's earnestness and that's all I need. A little background on me, my creative spark took off listening to podcasts while making deadlines for college papers and studio art class assignments. Thanks to a love for podcasts, I pivoted my love for listening to others into a love for creating for those I had been listening to. My dream of becoming a professional artist began to open up for me when I no longer had fears of failing. Since then I've worked with the Comedian Marc Maron, (summer of 2014), the Comedian Pete Holmes, (winter of 2014), the Author Teju Cole, (winter of 2015), and began a professional tattoo career all while in my junior and senior year of college at Indiana University. But me needing sobriety finally made me leave tattooing and the arts, a field I love, one day I hope to return sober. So right now I'm listening to U.C.P. to remind myself who I am. I'm a creative, I'm good at what I do, and I'm going to be the best I can be. This podcast helps me find the tools I've already developed from school, happy clients, sold out artwork, and a career path waiting for my return. I'm listening so I can retain the ability to listen. When I can't remember to listen, I surround myself with fools and substances that create fools. I'm still a creative as long as I can relate to the person being interviewed. So all I really need out of this podcast is something I've always had. A curiously to listen. Send positive energy my way for my battle with sobriety and know that this podcast for me helps. Thank you, A listener from Bloomington, IN
WOW WOW WOW… I just found this amazing podcast and it’s blown me away. Such exceptional inquiry in all the lesser explored places, with such a wide variety of voices and perspectives. I’m in love!
Listening to the Unmistakable Creative is liking having a legion of world class mentors with all of their wisdom at your fingertips. Every single episode offers insight and lessons that will impact the way you live your day to day life. My whole family listens to this show. It's almost impossible not to walk away inspired after listening.
Srini Rao asks the most uniquely intriguing and thought provoking questions which results in conversations that have me scrambling to take notes, laughing out loud or pausing to let it sink in. Listen if you're looking for strength to try new experiences or are interested in being a better version of yourself.
I always enjoy your podcast, so much inspiration. The Webb family interview was so truly inspiring! Thank you!!!
All great interviews. Lots of inspiring content and conversations that can be applied to any new venture, whether a new blog or starting a business.
I listen to lots and lots of podcasts, but this is the one that started it all. After the first listen, I chased The Unmistakable Creative down the rabbit hole and into an entirely new way of thinking. Everything from being more confident in myself and my unique style, to actually taking action on my ideas. This even inspired me to start a podcast of my own, not to mention my own company. Pairs well with a cup of coffee and a brain full of ideas :)
That's what I do. The guests, the quality of the conversation, the depths with which the guests share - makes this show one you just want to listen to more of. Highly recommended!
Every interview I’ve listened to has given me inspiration in life and work. It’s a great podcast for anyone striving for growth, especially for entrepreneurs. I highly recommend it!
I absolutely love this podcast. I’m a newbie to the world of podcasts and stumbled upon this as I was driving this summer and trying to learn more about Danielle LaPorte. From there, I kept listening. Anybody from funny travel writers who don’t take themselves seriously, to Sally Hogshead, to the CEO of Moleskin books. And yes… I do love keeping a journal, too. Take note, this is one podcast to subscribe to. Host Srini Rao consistently delivers a great show.
I love The Unmistakable Creative and Srini. He’s a great host and does an impeccable job asking thoughtful questions. I enjoy the diversity of his guests and his ability to relate their life story to their current reality. Not only is it packed with great business advice, it’s equally as valuable for living life well. I look forward to new episodes every week!
Srini has a gift of being able to extract unmistakable content from his guests. I became a fan after the Rob Bell interview, which was just amazing. Life changing. Long been a fan of Rob’s work, but the conversation was different then others than I have heard with him. When he started talking about pursuing ‘craft vs. success’ I was deeply moved. It really resonated with me and I have been trying to explore what that’s all about for me. Will be interesting to see where this exploration takes me. It’s a journey I’m on in no small part to the work Srini and his team are doing; gleaning some fantastic insights from amazingly talented and thought provoking people. Keep up the good work, I continue to listen often. It’s inspiring me to be unmistakable.
Like sitting down with old friends over a cup of great coffee, this podcast provides me with support and encouragement in my creative work every single time I listen to it. Thanks to Srinivas, his team and the insights from the show's guests, I'm re-inspired to bring my uniquely authentic voice to the world through my writing. Amazing podcast!
I am a big listener to podcasts in general and this is a wonderful addition to my daily roster of listening. The thing I like most about the episodes that I have listened to is the diversity present with the people that are interviewed. I find that sort of perspective valuable to me and others as well. Excellent work thus far and I look forward to many episodes into the future!
Mr. Rao, this is a remarkable collection of podcasts. Literally each one I listen to, I literally play the role of a sponge and just soak it all up! As a 22 year old, hearing these individual's experiences and advice is truly priceless and keeps me striving to better myself and turn dreams into fruition. Thank you an infinite amount of times and looking forward to Wednesday!
I wish I could locate the eloquence sufficient to express my appreciation for this podcast. It is valiantly doing its part in the fight against the epidemic of ‘lives of quiet desperation’. Do you need an inflection point to dislodge you from a habitual approach to life that may be locking you invisibly away from your best potential? There’s a pretty good chance there’s someone interviewed in this podcast who will strike you in just the right way so that the message that you need to hear will sink in and start causing a ruckus. We all know that it’s often not the information that we need, it’s the presentation of that information in such a way that it resonates within us and causes the chain reaction that causes us to act, perhaps tentatively at first, but with greater and greater urgency. Srinivas finds and susses out the kernels of action at the core of many successful creatives. The most recent (as of this writing) two-part interview of Greg Hartle was profoundly startling to me. Greg was so heart-stoppingly honest about the perils of a creative life while also quite brilliantly pointing out how necessary is the attempt at a life of authenticity and true creative force. This podcast was the first place I’d ever heard or heard of Greg and I’m not certain that guests of this type or quality are available elsewhere. Lastly, look down the page. You’ll see an ocean of 5-star reviews! That isn’t a coincidence. If you’re looking to get out of your rut and discover your voice, subscribe to the podcast and start checking out the back-catalog of interviews!
I've been following this show for years since back when it was called Blogcast FM. These unique and inspiring interviews refresh my perspective. Srini is a dynamic host who is capable of getting the story behind the story and learning how his interviewees got where they are today. Srini has a knack for selecting interesting guests. They're often people who haven't done the podcast/media circuit before so there is a lot to learn here!
Anyone who is trying to create in any way that might show up for them should absolutely give this podcast a listen. The interviewees are phenomenal and the one hour long sessions are packed with great wisdom and perspectives to consider as you create/run/build/grow your business .. or simply a more fulfilling career.
Guests are interviewed in a way that brings out very unique golden nuggets every time.
The interviews are so brimming with excitement. The questions asked are always looking for that excitement, and it is totally contagious. Apart from the amazing people interviewed, there’s Srinivas himself: he's a geiger counter for the most activating aspects of each person because he is himself so activated. Getting to the essence of what the interviewees are reaching for is exactly what the interviews are about. Srini will follow their development, step by step. He will extract the unique nature of the products developed by his experts, and gather the trial and error wisdom gleamed by them along the way. Questions and answers are uniformly articulate. Nothing is vague. Much is laugh out loud funny. The value in making it public is that it sets the paradigm for parallel paths and energies, the energy of getting your product out there, moving through failure, moving through success, with many tips along the way. That’s service! The fact that the amazing people attracted to this interviewer, and Srini himself, put art and service first, will rev you up, and send you flying back to your own best production. I use these talks to get myself going just before I pick up my pen. I’ve been listening for years, never miss an episode. It’s hard to imagine, but the interviews keep getting better. Bravo! If I am ever to emerge, Srini and his band of misfits will have shown me how.
I'm not exaggerating. It can be hard to find a community of support and mentorship, but this podcast gives me knowledge, insight and courage from thousands of miles away.
This is by far my favorite podcast. I have started listening to it in the morning as I get ready for my day, and it motivates me to stay creative and to keep working on my current project. Really grateful to have found it, and grateful Srinivas is doing what he does.
I love the variety of people that Srini interviews. No episode is like the one before it. I love the questions and the room that he gives people to answer the questions. I sometimes get impatient with longer podcasts - not this one. Thanks, Srini, for finding unmistakable people in all kinds of interesting places. @BeckyBerryCoach
So happy to have found this podcast. In the sea of interview format podcasts out there, The Unmistakable Creative stands out. Looking forward to listening to more.
Srini finds interesting guests and lets them reveal the complete path to their present place in life. Then he digs in to the key elements to understand what really makes us what we are. I'm frequently inspired by both Srini and his guests.
This podcast is well rounded. I learn something valuable every time I listen to the Unmistakable Creative. I appreciate the transparency of the host and guests. I am at the educational stage of entrepreneurship and listening to this podcast keeps me motivated and inspired. The topics are very relevant to my daily life and I appreciate the sacrifice and energy invested in these podcast. God bless! --LaQuesha "LuckWeSha"
This is one of those podcasts that leaves you dumbfounded, in the best way! Srini asks deep and thoughful questions to some of the most inspiring, change provoking creatives. If you have any desire to pursue a creative passion, this is the one podcast you need to push you into action. It's no accident I found this show when I did, and the impact its had on my projects is unmistakable! Thanks, Srini!
I'm so glad I found this Podcast, it's been entertaining, inspiring and incentive.
The Unmistakable Creative is a goldmine. The interviews are highly structured with great content, intentional questions and vulnerable answers. Out of the several podcasts I listened to, every single person attempted to be transparent and vulnerable about their life story. So beyond being a source of quality content, it is an example of great storytelling. Srinivas Rao allows the interviewee great flexibility and freedom to answer the question in a way that best fits their interruption of the question; there are no fillers or self-driven attachments to the responses. In addition, his voice is calm and genuine. I try my best to share this podcast with everyone. I am grateful that podcasts like this exist because it adds great value to my life.
Was looking for an insightful, motivating podcast and Unmistakable Creative delivered beyond my expectations. Srinivas does an excellent job of picking intriguing guests and asking them the right questions. This has quickly become my favorite podcast and I highly recommend it to everyone - creatives and non-creatives alike.
So glad I found this podcast. So far I've listened to four episodes and I'm looking forward to more. Just finished listening to the Donald Miller interview and is a favorite along with Elle Luna. Thanks Srinivas!
I’ve been listening to this podcast for about a year now, and started off strong by literally listening to every podcast as soon as it was released. I was filled with so much incredibly useful information as I was transitioning/pivoting in my career and I remember specifically listening to this to validate that I was in the right direction. During my transition I honestly didn’t listen to this as much, but I recently began to pick it back up and it’s a continuous path down the rabbit hole of inspiration. I love how Srini lets his guests talk without interjecting and manages to pin point exact topics to focus on after the guest practically brain dumps before our ears. He navigates each conversation methodically and it feels completely natural in the sense that I can picture each interview being done in a setting that feels like home. I’ve shared this podcast with my colleagues and friends and love when I get the random texts asking if I’ve heard the latest (followed by a series of “!?!??!!!”). Keep up the great work, Srini. You and your guests inspire me to be better each day so I can show up as my best self and be an inspiration to others.
Today, like it or not everyone has become content creator. The Unmistakable Podcas is one of the best tools to discover and chart a path to success. Excellent interviews in a simple environment. It's like going back to school with the best teacher I have ever had.
I'm consistently blown away by the stories of the amazing people on this show. There are so many learning lessons and nuggets of wisdom laced through each conversation. This is one of my sources of inspiration when my well gets a little dry.
What if the reality we are living in could be so much better? Srinivas Rao, host of Unmistakable Creative, searches to understand the paradigm shifts thats others have discovered to make their lives fascinating, successful, and most importantly, deeply satisfying. To be a listener of the show, and witness to these interviews, is to receive what I call a real education in the world: the positive re-reprogramming we all deserve. This is why Unmistakable Creative is my favorite show, and my strongest recommendation to others.
It’s not just the guests that Srini is bringing to this podcasts series that “make” the podcasts. Yes, they’re all people who have done incredible things, and yes, they’re all people who have inspiring things to say, and yes, they’re all rockstars in their own right. What makes this particular podcast series stand out is the way in which Srini dials down on the questions. He clearly knows his audience. If someone gives him an answer about, for instance, how to stay motivated after a creative failure, and if that answer is beautiful but not yet spelled out in a way that’s tangible for the audience, he’s going to ask the guest to dial down deeper and offer something that a listener can utilize as an immediate takeaway. I have a decade of experience as a college professor, and this quality of taking information and going beyond just disseminating it, to the next step of making it pro-active and useful, is a rarity in a world of podcasts where questions are obvious, rote, and answers can become canned. There’s a reason why so many high-profile and successful people have come to this podcast, and it has a lot to do with the host and what is obviously an incredible team of people, each bringing her/his creative talents to collectively create a podcast that’s full of integrity, inspiration, and fun.
Hello Srini, I am thankful for your podcast series. I have been inspired a lot over the past year from your interviews. You are a great role model for myself and others. Thank you for giving your time and energy to this project. It means a lot to me. -travis
I listen to Srinivas Rao as soon as he posts a new interview. Inspiring, interesting and I always walk away learning something new. One of the best podcasts to help expand your mind and life!
I first became aware of Srini and Co's podcast when he gave an opening keynote at Podcast Movement 2014. So many podcasts about inreviewing creative people fell short with me, but there was something about his talk that made it clear: "This one will be different." And I was right. Srini isn't just out to scratch someone's back in the hope they scratch his. He's genuinely concerned with what makes people tick and -- it seems -- highlighting that there is struggle involved in creation. I find that comforting when so many other podcasts seem to be more like, "Dream it, and the universe will give it to you..." There's no feel-good fluff, here; just stories about people who love what they do so much that they can't imagine not doing it. Sure, there are interviews with some well-known people, but it's often the stories of people I've never heard of that I love most. As sort of a bookend, I saw Srini moderate a panel at Podcast Movement 2015. It was one of my favorite sessions of the weekend; in large part, because Srini is so good at what he does.
Srini’s interviews go right to the heart of what it means to be creative. His style, questions, and phenomenal roster of guests continue to inspire me each time I listen to the podcast. Well worth your time to give a listen!
I was able to get some earlier episodes downloaded, but there is some problem with the most recent episodes. Don’t think it’s my computer because I’m having no trouble with any of my other podcasts. Could you check into this? Thanks.
The stories told are fantastic. The host does a great job finding great people to interview.
Srini's focus on providing a collective compass (rather than a roadmap) for creating unmistakable greatness is pretty profound. I don't resonate with all of the interviewees, but I do love hearing a person with genuine interest (in "the journey") interviewing successful people willing to share openly what their's has been like. I would be interested in anything produced by Srini, he's clearly a thoughtful, insightful man.
This is one of the best show's I've ever listened to. The level of quality conversation is unmatched. If you are looking to get inspired look no further.
I've become an avid listener of Srinivas Rao's podcast The Unmistakable Creative. What makes the show unique, is Rao's ability to ask thought provoking questions and connect with his guests in a profound way, illuminating their distinct perspective/experience. It is truly a gift to all listeners. Keep up the wonderful work!
Siren brings on really interesting guests, and does a great job drawing them out. Really a must-listen.
I love this podcast and the way Srinivas interviews his guests! I look forward to this show each and every week!
Thank you for the conversation with Michael Grandinetti, it was one of my favorite podcasts.
High spirited and engaging, I often listen to Unmistakable while I’m flying. Srinivas Rao brings out the best in his inspiring guest interviews and it feels like listening to conversation among friends. If you’re an entrepreneur, aspire to be one, and/or work with them (as I do), this podcast is a must!!
I believe some of these conversations are making a profound and helpful impact on my life and career path during a time of searing transition. It garners my highest recommendation.
A good interview finds the listener not listening but involved. Part of the story. Loosely joined pieces tying it all together. Emotionally, it feels more than random. I have been listening to The Unmistakable Creative for a while. He has produced multiple podcasts that fit the above description. If this is your first time to listen and you are in need of a creative boost, I would encourage hitting play on the Robert Kurson interview. It was thorough, deep, and ripped the skin off of creative sabotage. And you will laugh. I listen to 30 hours of podcasts weekly. That one is in my top 5.
This podcast has replaced so many that I used to listen to. It is always inspiring but more importantly it feeds the spirit that is at the core of our existence. Thank you!!!!
I’m not usually a podcast person - I much prefer listening to music. But after listening to a few episodes, I was hooked toThe Unmistakeable Creative. I learn something and am inspired by each and every episode. The lineup of guests is pretty impressive as well, from my personal art hero to the greats in tech and startups today.
I had started listening to this podcast around the time I was writing a novel that I had the entire vision for at the beginning and it was only a matter of making it concrete and evoking the vision in a palpable way. The process was immensely challenging and rewarding, and my life circumstances had aligned themselves to the point where nothing really satisfied me but the absolute pursuit of the completion of this project, and anything else I was doing revolved around it. I had stopped reading any literary types of books and as far as my media consumption went, I mostly would listen to Unmistakable Creative podcast, and it was a super steady source of inspiration and ideas for how to keep my project afloat. I felt like I was always in the company of people who had completed impressive projects, they had followed their dreams, and because I had those models around me the ideas of possibility far outweighed any of the fears or notions of limitation. So thank you for helping me out in that way! I did get to completing the novel in a way that I am really happy with.
Srini's manner as a host is stellar. He strikes a perfect balance between giving guests room to roam through their story and pressing in on pivotal moments that may not have even occurred to the guest. Really remarkable and regularly engaging. Recommended part of your regular diet.
Srini’s interview style holds two elusive properties. He is able to get his guests to dive deep into unexpected places, and he gets out of the way to allow the guests to explore those places. Subscribe and block out your calendar and you get into those archives.
This is an amazing podcast that features interviews with some of the leading entrepreneurs/thinkers out there - in other words, a must for all entrepreneurs! Srinivas asks the right questions and as a listener, you feel as if you get unique insights into the minds of the interviewees. Eagerly waiting for the next episode!
I'm very selective about the podcasts I listen to. Unmistakable Creative never disappoints. Guests are asked questions, and pushed deeper, than one hears on almost any other interview setting, and that includes television, radio, even film. Absolutely excellent and essential listening.
I can't listen to this without a notebook nearby. Srini has a real knack for drawing both deeply moving personal stories and profound wisdom out of the guests. The questions are often very direct about how listeners can apply this wisdom to their own lives, but since the interviews are unscripted, the conversations still flow well. I always look forward to hearing guests answer the final question.
What I love about Srini’s interviews are that he has such a unique ability to get to the story of the interviewee and go deep into pockets of their lives that pull out gems of wisdom for all of us to learn from.
I discovered this podcast only 2 weeks ago, but as so often happens in life, it could not have come at a better time! I’ve listened to 6 episodes in the last 2 weeks and have learned something valuable from each one. What a gift to go inside the ‘creative’s’ mind and hear how others have dealt with their struggles and successes on the road to creative fulfillment! Keep up the good work—I am hooked!
Just recently started listening and I've noticed that guest will frequently answer a question about their journeys with "I'd never thought about that before", and I think tht reflects on Srini's insightfulness and amazing ability to get people thinking!
Your podcast is a delicious staple of my "soul food" diet. It's amazing how the topics that come up seem to enter my life at exactly the moments I need them. I usually listen when I'm driving. So I've spent quite a lot of time sitting in parking lots madly typing on my phone to capture the breakthroughs I just had from listening to you and your guests. Thank you for consistently giving me the encouragement to “just keep walking towards the mountain."
Finding this podcast has helped fuel my creative endeavors as an artist and designer on the web. I listen to it when I work to really inspire me and help me focus on my goals. The interview style is really refreshing, introspective, and sometimes, it’s deeply spiritual. The Unmistakable Creative helps bring back into focus what matters about the creative life and that it is a fact that anyone can live their dreams. And, being one myself, I highly recommend this podcast to recent post-grads for some inspiration while navigating the murky depths of that world.
This podcast is nothing less than a Godsend. However, the last few days iTunes keeps giving me some error message each time I try to download an episode from the cloud? Anybody else having the same issue? I welcome any assistance!
Just finished listening to the interview with Mars Dorian. I wish it went on for twice as long! How insightful Mars was about his own creativity, personal journey and rule breaking. Really cutting edge and not the 'same old same old'. I've been listening to the Unmistakeable Creative for a long time and it's nearly always a super great experience. I've been meaning to write a review and after the interview with Mars I finally just had to stop and do it. Srini is one of the best interviewers out there and I listen to a lot of podcasts while I work. He just lets his guests talk and he doesn't let his ego get in the way but he still guides the interview along. Keep up the great work!
Unmistakable and unforgettable interviews that serve as a great compass for creativity, business, art, and life. If you like this podcast I recommend reading Srini’s books as well. Great reads! Srini is definitely an unmistakable creative that helps others be the same.
One of the best podcasts out there…I recently had Srini on my show Dose of Leadership and found him to be one of the most genuine and authentic voices out there. His podcast and books have been instrumental in my creative process and leadership style. I rank Srini up there with the mind of Steven Pressfield & Seth Godin. Keep up the outstanding work!
You have provided a wonderful opportunity with The Unmistakable Creative to dig deeper into the lost art of contemplative thought and writing and I so appreciate that. I have already felt myself making a cognizant effort to slow down and embrace the stillness in life; something I haven't done in years. I think it will pay off for me both creatively and emotionally. Thank you again Srini. You are correct when you say that you are introducing us to insanely interesting people. Keep up the amazing work!!
Of the many, many podcast shows I’ve listened to, Srini's podcast is absolutely one of the best! What he does really, really well is (1) he introduces us to interesting & inspiring people, and (2) asks the right questions to get them to really open up, and (3) he’s a humble interviewer who keeps the focus on them, instead of himself. So much value in this podcast, and often from unlikely sources. Thanks for your great work Srini! -Brad
I am loving listening to these podcasts! They seem to have the perfect timing for me and what I need to hear at that moment! I “sneak” away to listen as often as I can being an entrepreneur/Mommapreneur/Soulpreneur. Thank you to Srini and all of his wonderfully creative guests for sharing their authentic selves and being vulnerable with us.
I wsish I had an option for 1o stars but then I'd want 20 stars I love his attitude just do what makes you happy I finally got help in Montana getting an apple id so I could say how stimulated I was
Great insight and solid questioning with minimal host interruptions.
I discovered a gem in Unmistakable Creative. I wasn’t even looking for it and it is exactly what I need. Srini facilitates conversations with interesting people to reveal valuable insights to art, business, life, relationships, and what we can create when we integrate them. I had the good fortune of being introduced to Srini by Victor Saad, an innovator in education who founded my graduate school and Srini recently interviewed for the podcast. In a mere 30 minute conversation, he shared insight and resources that helped me move from speculation to action, quickly. It was a priceless gift. Srini walks his talk. I’m so excited to keep listening.
Excellent podcast. Have been listening for a long time and am only just now leaving a comment. Thank you for being so generous, for all the great knowledge and entertainment that you freely give to your many listeners. Yours is an excellent podcast by way of both content and quality. Sincere thanks. @JamesMSchaffer
I just listened to the best of 2014 interview with Sarah Peck. GREAT interview. I wasn't aware of Sarah even though I live in the bay area. I've now subscribed to her podcast as well The Unmistakable Creative podcast. Thanks so much!
Just discovered this podcast 2 months ago and have been thoroughly enjoying the guests and questions Srini asks. It’s my new favorite podcast.
A great podcast. Questions and style of Srinivas show great understanding and research of each guest. Such a pleasure to listen knowing I’ll always find something interesting in the interview, no matter who it is. Inspiring, encouraging. Love it.
Discovered this gem on Stitcher and it’s quickly become a favorite. Categorize it with TED talks when it comes to topics discussed and guests being interviewed. News is too often mundane and redundant. Start your mornings off with this inspirational podcast. Regardless of what industry you work in; this will give you great perspective on life. Srini took the time out to respond to an email I sent. Great individual.
Great insights for entrepreneurs…. some inspirational videos and great ways to look at how people started something from nothing.
Thoroughly enjoying listening to the podcast! The interviews are spectacular!!
Love this podcast station! Very informative information on a broad range of topics. Srini has an upbeat and fun personality and interviews a wide variety of people. The Emotional Truth of Tucker max was one of my favorites. Ive read all his books and I loved hearing about some of his mistakes and opportunities. Unmistakable creative give insightful podcasts for everyone on their journey and struggles to success.
My instructor wanted my Management class to listen to some of these podcasts, and now I listen on the weekends driving to work occasionally. It’s uplifting to hear some of these stories about people doing something different from the every day grind and making a living out of it. I can appreciate how he interviews people that remind us of ourselves, not household name celebrity types. Hope he keeps these podcasts going.
Srini Rao of The Unmistakable Creative delivers in-depth and interesting interviews of creative individuals who typically walk to the beat of a different drum. It is very interesting to hear how some of these individuals have gotten to where they are today and hearing how they have come to be unmistakeable. Keep up the good work Srini!!!!
The challenge for me as a social entrepreneur is to stay inspired and curious about life in all aspects. This podcast is a recent find but it’s such a gem. The original pull to the podcast was seeing Danielle LaPorte and Seth Godin’s name but every episode I’ve listened to is uniquely inspiring. I highly recommend!
This podcast is full of inspiring people who deal with the impossible. Worth wild to hear every interview and how they overcome the challenges in front of them.
He really cares and gets better all the time with his interviews. You are always smarter after every podcast
I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Rao in person at California State University, San Bernardino. Such a great character full of knowledge. Learned a lot from him and by listening to his podcasts. Thanks Mr. Rao and keep up the good work. Juan
I've been following Srini off and on for a while now and got into the podcasts about a year ago. I generally listen to shorter podcasts because my commute is short. This one is my exception. I listen on my way to / from work and get motivation and useful information every time.
We had to listen to the podcast with Fredrick Hutson for a class I took at Cal State San Bernardino. This one touched home becasue I have a few family members that have no idea what to do in life after prison. Mr. Hutson started a business after being released from prison. It really show that no matter your past you can always have a better future! Must listen!!
Very inspiring podcast - both in its presentation and its content. WE have a similar mission with our Paycheck To Passion podcast where we interview people who have inspiring stories to tell and that will encourage others that they too can make a living on their own terms doing something they are passionate about. WE love to hear stories of people doing remarkable things and Srinivas Rao inspires us to continue to try and inspire others. Its great to hear that there are so many remarkable people out there, and in such a diversity of fields. Great stuff!
Before I started listening to these Podcasts I was not very interested in audio interviews and what not. But after giving one of these a listen I am HOOKED! Strong work Srinivas! Was a pleasure meeting you Brotha.
