Welcome to The Inspired Athlete Podcast—quick, powerful inspiration for athletes and parents, rooted in modern performance insights and ancient wisdom. I’m Mike Brilla: a father of two athletes, a husband to a coach, a certified Mental Performance Coach through Lindsay Wilson and the Positive Performance Academy, and an educator and wrestling coach since 2004. I’ve coached high school athletes, club teams, youth sports, and competitors who’ve gone on to succeed at the national, collegiate, and even international levels—and I’m still in the mud every day, working with wrestlers and baseball players on the mental side of performance. I know the joy sports can bring, and I know the sting of tough losses and long drives home. My own competitive days may be over, but my passion isn’t.
