Welcome to The Hamburger! I’m Susanne Reindler, a global nomad, who landed in Hamburg in July 2019 (for the third time—because three’s the charm!).
Born in Sri Lanka and raised across Tanzania, Botswana, Egypt, and Germany, my passport has always been my favorite accessory. Along the way, I picked up a Business degree, a German husband (Alex), two sons born in different countries (Jordi in Venezuela, Phili in Colombia), and lived everywhere from Moscow and Mexico City to Nairobi.
Moving across the globe is equal parts thrilling, humbling, and wildly chaotic. It takes serious guts to reinvent yourself in a new country—and while Hamburg is stunning, cracking open a local can take a bit of work!
