John Beath

John Beath is a life cycle assessment certified professional and registered professional engineer in Texas. He has more than 20 years of experience as a sustainability consultant, currently serving as CEO of a sustainability and environmental consulting company. He has a bachelors’ degree in chemical engineering from Georgia Tech and has authored three short books on various aspects of sustainability. He currently serves as a member of the board of directors of the American Center for Life Cycle Assessment.
His consulting experience includes serving as a partner for a large consulting company for 14 years, and forming his own consulting company (JBE) ten years ago.
His industrial experience includes serving as a refinery environmental manager, and corporate regional manager for a major oil company.
His contributions to client sustainability have included developing numerous product carbon footprints, life cycle assessments and tools, serving as a third-party reviewer for life cycle assessments, and developing a comprehensive LCA training program.
