It’s always sunny with Matty D- A fantastic conversation with WRIC Chief Meteorologist Matt DiNardo

Welcome back to the podcast, I’m Jamie Baynes. A few days ago, the Richmond area was under a pretty scary weather watch that included the possibility of historic high winds and the chance of tornadoes. Luckily, neither happened, though we did get a decent amount of rain and a severe evening thunderstorm. Then a crazy thing happened: people complained that the forecast was wrong. Were they actually upset that property wasn’t damaged and lives weren’t lost? I reached out to WRIC Chief Meteorologist Matt DiNardo to talk about it, and here’s our conversation. I hope you enjoy it.
After you listen, let me know what you think of Matt. As I said at the beginning of our conversation, I thought cops had a thankless job until this past month, when I saw what meteorologists have to deal with. I’m truly impressed with the passion Matt has for his job and the positive attitude he has to go along with it. But I sure do wish I hadn’t bought that generator because he told me to.
I’d like to thank Matty D for coming on the podcast and hope that he comes back soon.
I hope you do as well.
So, until next time, take care of one another and as always, thanks for listening.
