Dr Nicole Bijlsma is a building biologist, researcher and bestselling author of Healthy Home Healthy Family. In 1999 she founded and leads the Australian College of Environmental Studies (RTO 21740), Australia’s first provider of nationally accredited training in Building Biology (healthy homes). Previously, she worked for over 15 years as a naturopath and acupuncturist and has taught at tertiary institutions for three decades. She has published in peer reviewed journals, contributed to major reports on mould and indoor environmental quality, and is frequently featured in the media discussing mould, toxic chemicals and electromagnetic fields. Her doctoral research at RMIT University focused on the impact of environmental exposures (electromagnetic fields and toxicants) on chronic disease and ramifications for clinical practice.
