The Truth About Randall Emmett Lala Kent

Randall Emmett Lala Kent Get a deeper understanding of Randall Emmett's staggering fall in Tinsel Town.

Learn how ambition, the pursuit of females and over-the-top extravagance have led to dark allegations.

It has been a huge tumble for the 52-year-old, who is a bombastic Hollywood entertainment executive.

The LA Times reported in January  his ex-wife actress Amber Childers claimed the filmmaker “is being investigated by the FBI for suspected child exploitation and/or pedophilia.”

Plus reporters said they had spoken to three other individuals who claimed the FBI contacted them aboutEmmett’s alleged activities.

Because I truly want the best for the Vanderpump crew, well most of them. So there will be no unfair criticism of Randall’s ex fiancé Lala Kent or anyone else on this podcast. I truly want to see my pumpers thrive.

But now back to Randall, in the past few years, the Hollywood exec, Lala’s former “stand up man”, is getting loads of attention.

Some of it is good. Some is very, very dark.

There’s always been a low-level buzz about Randall and it is oftentimes described as “dark”. It’s even come up on Watch What Happens Live. Tom Sandoval was asked to clarify what he meant when said on the show he’d heard “weird rumors” about Emmett.

Who is Randall Emmett

On VPR, Tom said: “Over the years, you know, Lala’s come after people but you’re not allowed to bring up anything personal about her.”

“Yeah, of course, I’ve heard weird rumors about Randall. I’m not gonna bring them up.”

Then James Kennedy interrupted Sandoval – “Yeah, same here.”

In 2021, Lala described Randall on her podcast as “disgusting and dirty and dark.”

Again in 2022, she told US Weekly that the situation was “deep and dark and disgusting”

Stassi is also close with Lala and she said “‘Cuz it wasn’t just a cheating thing. It was… it’s way darker. And I can’t really speak on it because, you know, Lala has Ocean, and they’re going through it.”

On this season’s VPR trailer Lala also sobs to Lisa Vanderpump about accusations against Randall.

“What’s happening with Randall?” LVP asks her distraught employee.

“I wanna know why people are accusing him of the things they’re accusing him of,” Kent responds

Because the LA Times is now regularly reporting on him. There’s a whole investigative team on the case.

After all this is a guy who had some of the Vanderpump cast sign NDAs (non-disclosure agreements) to hang out with him. That’s two parts ridiculous and one part ludicrous.

The NDA request was so bizarre, as was Lala’s ardent defense at the time of the request. She said recently she was offered almost $20,000 to sign a NDA about her relationship with Randall.

She claims she left his lawyer’s office without signing it.

By way of background, through my other podcast I have seen NDAs be weaponised against Epstein survivors and his household staff. So I’m not a big fan of the practice at all.

Lala insisted on having James Kennedy sign a non-disclosure agreement.

How did he end up on Pump Rules

Back in 2018 Lala told podcaster Heather McDonald about how they met, “He approached me about doing a film and asked for my agent’s contact. He was at the restaurant and I was working – not filming – and he said ‘Are you an actress?’ and he just kept coming up to me and I was like ‘No. I do reality TV. I caved.'”

Lala recalled, “He said, ‘I have a movie coming up’ – which we will be filming in June – ‘and I want you to audition for one of these parts.’  I went in to the audition, went in to a second, had a couple meetings, we just hit it off, and after that we were inseparable.”

So is it a case of where there’s smoke there is actual fire?

We can’t forget him flashing his cash he did on Vanderpump Rules season eight.

In 2017, he was said to have bought Lala a Rolls Royce for Christmas.

Remember the BJs for PJs Lala bragged about while on Randall’s Uber share private plane? He even settled the beef between Lala the Witches of Weho with PJ journeys.

Firstly, Who is this Hollywood Big Shot?

Randall is now aged 52 and was born to a Jewish family in Miami, Florida.

Emmett says he is a "distant cousin", through his mother, of Uber Hollywood executive Jerry Bruckheimer.

He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the School of Visual Arts in New York City and then headed out to Tinsel Town.

To understand Randall, you have to go back to the start of his entertainment career where he was once Mark Whalberg’s assistant.

He was part of Wahlberg’s “entourage” in the 1990s and he worked for the actor as his assistant. They through a friend and had an instant connection over their mutual love of film, The New York Film Academy reports.

Wahlberg created a show called Entourage which features a character named Turtle.who was friend turned assistant to actor-character Vincent Chase. For years Entourage fans believed Turtle was actually Emmett but is that entirely true? Yes and no.

Turtle was based on several assistants

Emmett says he can’t take full credit for the persona. “It’s not directly based on me,” he shared on the Behind the Velvet Rope with David Yontef podcast. “Because there was another kid, there were a bunch of assistants and we were kind of all blended. The assistants were kind of a mishmash of two or three of us.”

But definitely that story on Mark is, is generated from all of us,” Emmett shares. “All of us, were a contribution to that story because we all lived that, you know, that entourage life.”

Later he met George Furla and they co-founded Emmett/Furla Films in 1998. In 2013, the company was joined by Dubai-based film financier Oasis Ventures Entertainment to become Emmett Furla Oasis Films (EFO).

Randall is best known as a producer of the films 2 Guns, Silence, Lone Survivor and The Irishman. He appeared in eighth and ninth seasons of Vanderpump Rules.

He’s known as pugnacious and persistent. In a 2022 LA Times article he was described as: “If you throw him from the window, he comes down the chimney.”

But Randall has a very checkered reputation in Hollywood.

Back in 2009, Gawker described him as a “D-list producer of so-called “geezer teasers” and an abusive creep who is in debt up to his eyeballs.

The 52 yr old has been on the nose for years in Hollywood. In fact, he was crowned the least liked entertainment executive in 2009’s Brown List.

“Randall Emmett won by a long way the Least Liked category in which the true giants of Hollywood compete — Geffen, Weinstein, Rudin, Berg, Emmanuel, Ovitz.

“To see the name of one of the pillars of the industry who has literally built an empire on abusive, infantile behavior atop a Least Liked List would almost be anticlimactic.”

For an unknown dark horse from a no-profile company to not just win, but win but such a resounding margin (23 votes between him and the #2 finisher) is an enormous accomplishment.

Moreover, LA Times reporters Amy Kaufman and Meg James last year reported that Emmett and his production company, Emmett/Furla Oasis, owed $25 million in outstanding loans and disputed payments.

Plus The Times also spoke with ten of his former assistants, who accuse him of a range of allegations including asking them to transport drugs, deliver payments to women, and put thousands of dollars in charges on their personal credit cards.

“Randall was different from being just a mean boss,” former assistant Martin G’Blae said. “He made people do dangerous things — and illegal things. You had to be his punching bag — and his mule.” G’Blae, a Black man, alleged that he had been tasked with transporting a safe that he didn’t initially know contained a “big bag of cocaine.”

And we all know from housewives that the people who flash their money may not be as wealthy as they portray.

Thr LA times investigation of Randall’s business activities described an empire that is crumbling”.

“The once-high-flying producer faces lawsuits and mounting debts, as well as allegations of abuse against women, assistants and business partners. He is accused of inappropriate behavior with women, including offering acting work in exchange for sexual favors, and of forcing assistants to conduct dangerous and illegal activity on his behalf.

Who is Randall Emmett

It said Emmett used an array of tactics to try to keep these allegations secret, including entering into nondisclosure agreements and allegedly promising a payment of about $200,000 to a female accuser, which Emmett has denied.

At the time of the report, the LA Times said Emmett and his company now are confronting nearly a dozen lawsuits, including several from former financiers, an insurance company and a prior landlord, all clamoring to be repaid their portion of more than $25 million in outstanding loans and disputed payments. Several lawsuits accuse Emmett’s company of misrepresentation and civil fraud.

The Writers Guild of America West won a $541,464 judgment against EFO last year after it filed a claim on behalf of writers who alleged they were shortchanged for their work on an Emmett project.

“His normal mode of business is being sketchy,” said Teresa Huang, a writer on that project. “He just spins all these plates in the air and doesn’t care how they crash.”

Plus VANDERPUMP Rules star Lala Kent's ex Randall Emmett has been sued for "refusing to pay off a $287K loan" amid his major money troubles.

The Sun can exclusively reveal that on December 30, 2020, Lala's ex along with other defendants was sued for $287,500 by a production company called Potato Eater Productions, LCC for his new movie, Hair of the Dog.

But now Randall is now making headlines for being at the center of an alleged FBI investigation for “suspected child exploitation and pedophilia.”

Once the story broke, Randall released a statement to Page Six, insisting there was no FBI investigation and calling the allegations "absurd." He also mentioned having partial custody of his daughters, implying that wouldn't be the case if these rumors were true.

Court papers seen by the newspaper stated a December 6 FBI call caused Amber “extreme destruction and disturbance of [her] emotional calm and peace of mind” because the former couple’s daughters, ages 12 and 9, “are often alone” with their father.

Childers added she did not want to “run the risk” of the children being with Emmett if “federal law enforcement serve either an arrest or search warrant on him or on his premises.”

The actress argued in her filing that her ex-husband’s “possible in child exploitation and pedophilia, along with the fact that he is being actively investigated by federal law enforcement, dictates that he should not be allowed to have the children other than with a professional monitor.”

Emmett is denying all allegations of wrongdoing.

He continued, “Anyone can say whatever they want in a pleading; that doesn’t make it true. There is zero evidence that I’m being investigated for anything, and we still share 50/50 custody of our children. I am shocked and in utter disbelief that Ambyr would even hint at something so disgusting and untrue.”

Emmett then shared an Instagram video reiterating those sentiments, insisting that his three minor children are “going to know their dad was a great father.”

In his new Instagram video posted last Thursday, Emmett dismissed the claims as 'cancel culture'

He insisted he had 'confirmation' that 'the FBI has never been investigating me and isn't investigating me because there's nothing to investigate'

An hour later, Kent cryptic and posted via her Instagram Story, “Keep telling yourself whatever you need to to help you sleep at night. You’re seen.”

This, my friends, this is going to escalate.
