When someone asks ChatGPT or Claude about your podcast, the answer is only as good as what the AI can find. Every Podpage site automatically publishes two discovery files that give AI agents accurate, up-to-date information about your show — included on every plan, with nothing to set up.

Published at yourdomain.com/.well-known/agents.json, this is a standard JSON discovery file that tells AI crawlers what your site is and what it can do. It includes your show's name and description, your site URL, the site's capabilities (episode pages, search, contact form — plus blog, newsletter, and store when you use them), and where to find your RSS feed and sitemap.
llms.txt
Published at yourdomain.com/llms.txt, this is a plain-text manifest that points AI assistants to your most important content: your RSS feed, sitemap, your 25 most recent episodes, and their transcripts. It gives an assistant a clean map of your content to work from, improving the accuracy of what it says about you.
Viewing and customizing the files
- In your dashboard, go to Settings → AI Agent Tools.
- Open the agents.json or llms.txt tab to preview the file Podpage generates for your site.
- To replace a generated file with your own version, click Edit Page and paste your content into the Custom agents.json Content or Custom llms.txt Content field, then click Save. Whatever you enter completely replaces the file Podpage generates — clear the field to go back to the automatic version.
Most podcasters never need to customize these — the generated files follow the conventions AI crawlers already look for.
