Understanding Episode Deep Links

A deep link is a URL that takes listeners straight to a specific episode inside an app like Apple Podcasts or Spotify — not just to your show's main page. Podpage shows these links on your episode pages so listeners can open each episode in their favorite player.

Most podcast apps don't make episode links easy to find automatically, so Podpage gives you two options: add them yourself on any plan, or let Podpage find them for you on the Elite plan.

Automatic deep links (Elite)

On the Elite plan, Podpage automatically searches Apple Podcasts and Spotify for a direct episode link each time a new episode is imported. This is on by default — to turn it on or off, go to Episodes → Episode Settings and use the Get direct episode links to top players toggle.

Sometimes there's a delay between when Podpage imports your episode and when a directory (especially Apple Podcasts) lists it. If a link isn't available yet, Podpage automatically tries again later.

How to add deep links manually

  1. Find your episode on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or YouTube Music and copy the direct link to that episode.
  2. In your dashboard, go to Episodes → All Episodes and open the episode you want to edit.
  3. Paste the link into the Apple Podcasts Direct Link, Spotify Direct Link, or YouTube Music Direct Link field.
  4. Click Save.

Links you add manually are never overwritten — Podpage only searches for a link when the field is empty.

Tip: Deep links appear alongside your other player links on each episode page. To manage the show-level links, see adding player links to your website.
