Deleting YouTube videos from your website

You deleted a video that was imported from YouTube, but the next day it's back on your site. That's expected behavior — here's why it happens and how to control exactly which videos appear.

Video importing is available on the Pro plan and above.

Why deleted videos come back

When you connect a YouTube channel, Podpage imports all of the channel's public videos and checks for new ones every day. If you delete an imported video, the next sync sees it's missing from your site and imports it again.

The fix: import a playlist instead

Instead of importing your whole channel, connect a playlist — then only the videos you add to that playlist appear on your site.

  1. In YouTube, create a playlist (for example, "For Website") and add the videos you want on your site. YouTube's playlist guide shows how.
  2. In your dashboard, go to Pages → Videos and open the Settings tab.
  3. In the Channel or Playlist URL field, replace your channel URL with the playlist's URL and save.

From now on, any video you add to that playlist is imported automatically — and nothing else.

Deleting a single video

To remove one video, go to Pages → Videos, edit the video, and delete it. Just remember: if it's still in the connected channel or playlist, it will be re-imported on the next sync.
