Updating your payment method and fixing billing warnings

Podpage warns you in your dashboard before a billing problem can affect your website. You'll see one of two banners at the top of the page:

  • Yellow, "Your card ending in 1234 expires soon": the card on file is about to expire. Nothing has gone wrong yet, but your next renewal could fail if you don't update it.
  • Red, "Payment failed": your last payment didn't go through and your subscription is past due. Update your card now to keep your site active.

How to update your card

  1. Click Update your payment method in the banner. Or click your account (your name and email) at the bottom of the dashboard sidebar, click Billing, then click Update card.
  2. Our payment provider, Stripe, opens a secure page. Add your new card and make it the default.
  3. Return to your dashboard. A past-due subscription is charged again automatically on the new card.

You can dismiss the yellow expiring-card banner with the ×. The red payment-failed banner stays until the payment goes through.

Invoices and billing details

On the Billing page, click Invoices & billing details to download past invoices or change your billing address.

Tip: Your plan and card cover your whole account, so if you manage several Podpage sites, updating the card once fixes billing for all of them. See Switching plans and billing cycles.
