Okay, here we go. Heavenly Father, I thank you for this time with you. I pray, Father, that my words and my thoughts will be a blessing to those listening to me. Holy Spirit, you are welcome to be a part of this show. I thank you for everyone listening to today's show. Let your anointing fall on them, Father. And Lord, I just pray, Father, that you'll have your way as we give you praise and honor and we walk with you, Lord. In Jesus name, amen. Amen.
So today I want to talk about why it takes a lot of faith to be an atheist. And…I don't know about you…but, you know, I'm not an atheist, obviously. And, and you know I love people– I can disagree with you and love you, that's a whole nother, a whole nother topic, but to me - not even to me but to, to scientists, to true scientists, the evidence for God is absolutely overwhelming; the evidence for creation is overwhelming; but why will people not objectively look at the evidence? The evidence is, it– let me put it this way: If we were to go into a court of law and present our evidence for a creator against the evidence for there is no creator, I promise you we'd win the case because the evidence is overwhelming and is beyond uh…a reasonable doubt and undisputable doubt.
I want to read this scripture to you because it kind of explains everything. In the uh, in the Book of Romans chapter 1, verse 20, it says this: “For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes…” talking about God, “His eternal power and divine nature have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so they are without an excuse.” The evidence for God is overwhelming, folks. If people would just look at the evidence. And maybe it's because of what 1 Corinthians 2:14 says, “But a natural man does not accept the things of God, for they cannot understand them because they are spiritually appraised.” Spiritually appraised. “They're foolish to him and he cannot understand them because they are spiritually oppressed.” Another scripture which I think helps to explain a lot is, “The god of this world has blinded the eyes of the unbeliever.”
So, why won't they look at evidence? Let me tell you a story. My, my wife has a, an uncle who's, who's, who's gone now. He passed away. Uh, brilliant teacher, great father, great husband, great man, and we would send him books and evidence for God. You know, the, the case for Christ is overwhelming, the case for God is overwhelming, and there's a lot of material out there that is really good. And so…her uncle was a devout atheist and he would say, “No, I don't want to see it, I've already made up my mind.” And you know, he's supposedly a very– was a very brilliant man. But this is my thought: if you are brilliant, and…why would you not want to look at evidence? An intelligent person will intelligently, objectively look at evidence. But it's almost like some atheists say, “Hey, don't, don't, don't mess with me, I've already made up my mind,” which is kind of what my wife's uncle used to say was, “I don't want to hear you, I've already made up my mind.” But why refuse the evidence, which is over– overwhelming?
One of the big tenets of atheism is the Theory of Evolution. The Theory of, of Evolution. Now, what's wrong with evolution? Well, the evolutionists believe - typically evolutionists tend to be atheists - that nothing created everything, chaos created order, non-life created life, non-consciousness created consciousness, non-personal created personal, non-rational created rational, blind created vision, deaf created hearing, and it goes on and on and on. It's just an absurdity that everything came from nothing, that somehow there was this single-cell organism that came through this ooze - primordial mass or ooze - over millions of years and the single-cell organism somehow became two cells, and then the two-cell organism somehow developed into three cells and eventually this developed to some form of life. In other words, non-life created life, and then these cells began to multiply and created some type of animal and this animal began to evolve into all kinds of different species which eventually devolved into the human race. And the, the odds of that are impossible, the evidence for that doesn't exist. And they say, “Well, we can see this in, in, in, in animals today.” No, you see, you see different species evolving within their species but you never see a cat becoming a dog or a dog becoming a horse or uh, you know, a horse becoming a giraffe, there is no– none of that. And the other thing is if cells could somehow multiply and become animals, they would have to be a two-cell organism. Well, there are no two-cell organisms. The other thing is if we were, if we were transitioning from one type of animal to another type of animal there would have to be a transitional fossil found - there's never been a transitional fossil.
So, the laws of physics do not work out here. You know, physics says you cannot create something from nothing, which is exactly what the evolutionists believe. The law of thermo– thermodynamics says that everything is in a eventual state of decay, you know, everything eventually decays. Well, so instead of the universe continually growing bigger and bigger and bigger, it would have to decay and so it, it violates the laws of thermodynamics. It just makes no sense. Evolution is a convenient explanation of godlessness, it's a convenient explanation of, of godliness. But when you look at the fossil records, they do not support evolution. When you look at um, the science behind evolution, it's full of, of pitfalls, it's just full of pitfalls. So man descended from ape? Well, there is no transitional being ever found that's half man, half ape, or part man, part ape. Never, ever, ever been discovered and never will be discovered because it is a lie. Evolution is a lie. And so, nothing cannot create something. Chaos does not create order, and non-life cannot create life. There's never been any evidence for that, it’s just a theory. And sadly, the theory has been taught as fact and it's just, it's sad. Now the evidence for creation is overwhelming. I, I read this article not too long ago which, you know, I just have to keep it simple, maybe because my mind is simple, I don't know. But when you– a man was looking at um, an outboard motor. Maybe he was a fisherman or a guy that likes to water ski or something. He's looking at an outboard motor on the back of a boat and as he looked at this motor, he said, “Hmm. Wow, somebody built that. Somebody designed that and some company took a design and built that beautiful outboard motor.” How does he know that? By observing.
So when you observe creation, just with a, an objective ob– observation of creation, creation screams loudly that it had to be designed and created. There is– to say that creation is just some random happening doesn't make sense. It's like um, I've heard some crazy stories in the past, it's like um, taking a bunch of scrap metal and throwing it out on a piece of concrete and waiting a few millions of years for that scrap metal to somehow evolve into a 747 plane. The odds of that happening are just not going to happen. And so, there is no real scientific evidence for evolution but there is evidence for a creator. All creation, “since the creation of the world his invisible attributes, his eternal power and divine nature has been clearly seen,” clearly seen. Other words, you can see the evidence right in front of your eyes. Why is it so tempting to believe in evolution? Well, it's tempting because it allows man to be in control and man to be his own god. Man has wanted to be God from the very beginning. You know, Adam and Eve, they didn't want to be as God, they wanted to be God. Okay? You know, they sinned at the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.
And so, despite the overwhelming evidence for creation, the atheists believe in this ridiculous theory of evolution which has no real scientific proof behind it. The fossil record does not support it, the um, the makeup of life does not support it, the law of physics do not support it, the law of Thermodynamics does not support it, and the law of chance does not support it. But it's a convenient way to say there is no God, so my point is - with this podcast is - the evidence for God is overwhelming.
Some years ago, one of my relatives at a Thanksgiving dinner who who happens to be an atheist, she, she challenged me. She said, “Well, Christianity is what you believe,” and I said, “No. It's, it's not what I believe. It's much more than that. I'm a Christian because it's the truth. I know God is real - I've talked to Him, He talks to me. I've seen the evidence for Him all around me. I know Jesus is real, I know what happened when I was saved, I know the change He put in me. I know the Spirit of God is real because I know that He's in me and I, and I know and I've seen what He does and I've seen His attributes.” And so…and, the evidence of God is in plain sight but the atheists refuse to look objectively at the evidence. Now there's been some exceptions, you know, the guy that wrote uh…was it uh…the guy that wrote The Case for Christ, and More Than a Carpenter, and I forgot his name right now, I don’t know why I forgot his name. I'll come up with it here in just a– that is Lee Strobel. And what Lee Strobel did was he actually did an investigation of Christ and of Christianity trying to prove it wrong, but he was a very intelligent man and he used um, historical, archaeological, and logic and the eyewitnesses and became completely convinced by looking at the evidence that the evidence for Christ and for God is overwhelming.
So what I'm saying is, the evidence for creation, for the Creator, for Jesus, for Christianity, is overwhelmingly clear and undisputable. But the evidence for there being no God and for evolution being a fact is very disputable. It has no real scientific basis. Nothing doesn't come– I mean, nothing cannot create something intelligent. Life doesn't come from unintelligent life. There are no transitional fossils, there are no two-celled animals. I mean, don't you think there' be a whole lot of two-celled animals if one cell becomes two cells and, and, and they– three– there's no three-celled animals. There's single-cell animals but no two-cell animals but somehow in evolution, this had to happen. There had to be a two-celled animal which became a three-cell which became four cells. It just doesn't make sense and there's no logic and there's no evidence for it, but it is a convenient explanation of there being no God. And sadly this is taught in our public schools as a fact and what we're doing is we're teaching our children that there is no God, that the world was an accident, that somehow there was this explosion. Well, who caused the explosion? Where did the original matter come from? That does– well they can't explain that either, but somehow there was this explosion and the world has just been continually uh, growing and evolving ever since. And even the evolutionists, they say, well look, “Well look at uh, you know, look at uh, you know how dogs have, have grown from wolves and cats from lions.” There is no evei– evidence of a, of a reptile becoming a mammal, okay? Or a mammal becoming a reptile or one species changing species and becoming another species, there's no evidence at all. But when I look at creation and I look at the trees and I look at the sky and the clouds and the perfect order of the world, there's incredible evidence for God. Amazing evidence for God. How do you do a tree– how does a tree grow and, and make its leaves and know when to shed its leaves and…how does it do that? And it– somebody had, had to make– create this, this couldn't have happened by accident. The evidence is simply overwhelming.
I know it sounds a little bit like I'm on a rant and, and I'm not trying to be a rant but it's frustrating to me that people can't see the truth right in front of them. And, and the Apostle Paul was writing about that. The evidence for God, for creation is overwhelming. Just observing, just looking out your window, just look at the tree, the grass, the sky, the animals. Look at it, look at it. Does that look like happenstance to you? Some kind of big accident to you? And that, the way the the earth maintains itself. Our atmosphere, our water, the, the things that have to come into play. And I read something not too long ago about the odds of everything working the way it works to sustain life on earth is astronomical, it had to be designed. The evidence for a designer is overwhelming, the evidence for Christ is overwhelming. 500 witnesses to His resurrection– eyewitnesses. We have a bible that's not a fable, we have a bible, a New Testament written by eyewitnesses of Christ. And at the worst case, it was people who interviewed the eyewitnesses.
You know, when you go into a court of law, the strongest evidence you can ever have is eyewitness evidence, and that's what we have with the New Testament, eyewitness evidence. And even early non-Christian writers, Josephus, and some of– and the Romans, some Roman writers write of Christ. So, it's…you know, to be an atheist takes a lot of faith because you're believing in things that can't be proven. And that's funny, that's what they accuse Christians of being. “You're believing in something– some fantasy.” No, I'm believing in something that can be proven, Jesus, God, creation. The atheist is believing in something that cannot be proven, so it takes a lot of faith to be an atheist. I mean, God bless them and um, to me I think the biggest problem with most atheists is deception. And you know the old axiomatic or the old problem is once a person is deceived they don't know they're deceived because what? They are deceived. So we pray. You know, and some of you listening who are saved, maybe you were an atheist at one time, you didn't believe in God. But you met God. I've met God. I want to tell you something. Um, it's been said that a man with an argument is at the mercy of a man with an experience. I've had an experience with God, with Jesus, with the Holy Spirit however, my faith is not just on what I've experienced, my faith is on evidence for the truth which is overwhelming. The evidence for God, for His creation, is overwhelming. It's observable science, observable science. When I look at creation, the world, it tells me it had to be designed, it could not have happened by accident. And there is no evidence - real scientific evidence - that what we're sitting in today was an accident. Evolution is a big lie, science does not support evolution but it is a convenient way of putting man back in control and not having to trust and believe in God. There's something in us that wants to be in control.
You see, letting go and believing in someone more powerful, someone higher than us, means releasing our flesh, releasing control, and trusting in someone greater than us, and for some reason, that's scary for a lot of people; and when you're afraid of that, you want to come up with a, with a theory to explain why there is no God but I'm telling you, the theory of evolution has no real scientific evidence at all. Even the theory of the earth being millions of years old has no real proven scientific evidence at all. It's all theory that an atheist uses to explain away God. So it takes a lot of faith to be an atheist and to believe in stuff that has no real evidence. When the evidence for God and Jesus is overwhelming.
Thank you, God, for your world, for your creation, for your evidence. Heavenly Father, I thank you for everyone listening to the show. I know this has been kind of a different show, but Lord, I just pray that this could be a blessing to people and that would maybe come to a deeper appreciation of who you are and of your incredible creation that you've given us dominion over, Father. I thank you for everyone listening to the show. I pray that you would just download a special blessing on them, that the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus Christ would touch everyone listening to this broadcast now. In Jesus’ Name I pray, amen, and amen.

Okay folks, that does it, that completes episode 190. I pray that my little um, rant here about atheists and how ridiculous it is to be an atheist how - much faith it takes to be an atheist - um, has been a blessing to you maybe. There get– there's a lot of great resources. Um, I want you to check out a good friend of mine named Don Cain, he wrote this little booklet called Eight Absurd Things Atheists Must Believe Before Breakfast. It's a really great, easy-to-read resource. You can get a free copy of Eight Absurd Things Atheists Must Believe uh, at servetheking.org. servetheking.org. There's another great book he wrote I want to recommend to you, it's called Common Sense Destroys Faith in Evolution by Don Cain. Look that book up, I think it'll help you a lot. Uh, check out again his website, servethking.org, great evidence. There's also a lot of material out there disputing the theory - the really unscientific theory of, of evolution - but we have a creator. Creation calls out for a creator. The simple but powerful power of observation proves the existence of our creator, of God. Just observe objectively. It's sad that an atheist refuses to do that. I pray this show again has been a blessing.
