Wayne Sutton: Welcome to another episode Prosper with Wayne. Today is going to be a solo episode, One that is so important. Now I coach and counsel a lot of people. If you're interested in coaching, then go to yourpersuasioncoach.com. Be happy to get information to you. But I also am coached and also one that have mentors that I go to. And this is a lesson that I learned from really two different mentors. And I'm going to kind of blend those lessons together with some actionable steps, but here's the key. If you wanna prosper, okay, that means create health, wealth and happiness, all right? Any of those areas is gonna require intentional action. we're gonna talk about prosperity, financial â We're gonna talk about health, improving your health, getting yourself to the optimal. uh, state of mind and state of body. And then we're going to talk about happiness. We're going to talk about how to hack happiness. Okay. And we're going to do this really quick. This episode is going to be a game changer. So stick around to the end. Now, one of the biggest things I see in years of working with people, decades of working with people as far as clients and also being coached myself is the fact of intentionality without consistency. is the biggest problems. One of C is the one of the most common constraints. So someone will say, I'm going to build a business and they'll start the business, okay? Maybe they'll make the phone calls, they'll send out direct mail, they'll run ads, they'll do whatever it is for client attraction, client acquisition, and then they hit a constraint. And then they start focusing on the constraints so much that they forget the acquisition. Or maybe they have growth, they hit a growth stage. but they have nothing set to sustain the business. Third, there's sustainability, but now they're focused on that and they let go of the marketing and advertising and the sales side and now their business is stagnant and what happens? Entropy comes in and it goes away. So consistency, and I'm gonna tell you something that I learned years ago and I've applied and it flat out works, okay? How to build a business Using intentionality then we're look at it from the health side and we're gonna look at it from the spiritual slash mental side of happiness or up number one So I am I have a couple of businesses and in each of those businesses I have to go and slow down. This is gonna be in so important I want you to do this for your business. I you to look in your business. Now, maybe you own a business. Maybe you manage maybe your sales leader Whatever it is if you're an employee, this is gonna be so important If you're an employee, treat that job as if it's your business. I learned this a long time ago. Treat it as if that client that comes in may not be your client because you're just an employee, but treat them as if. â Treat every scenario as if this was your business. And guess what? One day may actually be. So that's the first thing we're going to do. But here's what I want you to understand. You have to have an outreach. You have to have a marketing, you have to have a client attraction system. If you don't have a client attraction or client acquisition system in place, then you are never going to grow to the level that you could, if you are growing, what happens when those clients leave? Listen, there's no such thing as a 0 % churn rate. People leave, people â other vendors, companies go out of business, people, â die. mean, the people are going to leave you. So you need to have new people coming on board. So the theory of constraint says that you're, you know, If you solve that constraint, then you're going to grow and another constraints going to come up. Okay. Makes sense. Right. Let's solve the first constraint of client attraction. So have a local business. We'll get into all the details. We have a local business and we started doing direct mail. We did direct mail. We had a Google business profile. We did some cold email. What we didn't do was really any face to face. We didn't go door knocking business to business. We do any cold calls. we put things in place. Well, we picked up a client, we picked up another client, we picked up three more clients, and it started growing through the Google business profile, through direct mail, through some LinkedIn automation. So we had automation going. Now, now we have more clients than we do employees. So we had this slow down on. This is important. had slow down on the market inside to build up the base. However, As soon as we are back and everything is smooth, we're to go right back into the market. And a lot of people forget that. I've had people come to me and say, Wayne, I want to build this business, but I have no clients. I'm like, gotcha. You have eight hours. Let's just take eight hours. Many people are working 12, 14, 16 hours. get that. Let's take eight hours. If you'll take four of those eight hours, if you have no clients, at least four of those eight hours, possibly all eight, but let's take four. Need to be on outreach. Now, I think of things and it's gonna depend on your company. But when I think about outreach I'm like, what can I automate? And then what do I need to physically go to? So can I set up some LinkedIn automations? Can I set up some cold email? Can I set up a Google ad or maybe a meta ad that's gonna be reaching out for me? I want these things to work while I'm not able to, like family time, sleep, vacations, whatever, I want them to be working. But then what am I going to actively do? So here's the question. I want you to really grab pen and paper and write this out. Have I reached out to a hundred people today? Now this is if you're automation, if you're using automation, is something Alex Hormozzi talks about a lot. But if I'm doing cold emails, have I sent out a hundred cold emails, a hundred LinkedIn messages? Have I sent out, have I done a hundred cold calls? Have I done that today? And maybe it's not, you just going to do it. Maybe it's somebody on your team. Maybe you hire someone to do it. Have there been 100 outreaches today? That's the number one question. Now automation is great, but there's still, if you get the automation set up, minimal time, I take maybe five or 10 minutes a day to look at LinkedIn, to look at my meta ads, to look at all that. What about the rest of the time? Have I created content? Okay. If I make content now, I'm not going to create 100 pieces of content with AI. And for video editing, can create a lot of content really quick. I'll take this video, I'll upload it and I'll have content. I have shorts and reels and all that. So the point is I need content with a clear call to action. Are you asking for the business? Are you asking for the business? So yes, there's a time for brand awareness. There's time to build content that builds you know, goodwill, but ask for the business. So I just did a post about sales training. And at the end I'm like, hey, if you want to know more, then here's how to get in touch with me. Hey, download this, comment this, whatever. I want people to literally say, yes, Wayne, I need sales training. And they're going to reach out to me and then we're going have a conversation. Okay. I'm asking for the business. Now that can be a direct, that can be through a podcast. It can be through. â YouTube short, a Instagram reel. can be a Facebook, LinkedIn post, whatever it may be. It also can be, â on the phone and literally picking up the phone. When I was in real estate, I would pick up the phone and I would call 100 or 200 people a day. did it for a short period of time. Lesson learned short period of time, but I could trace back actual revenue. I could trace back money to that. So why didn't I do it no more? I got into automation. I should have done was automation and that I'm telling you where I could have done better so you can do better. So here's my question for you. Question. I want you to really grab a hold of. In fact, right. don't grab a sticky note, grab a pen and write it out. Have I reached out to how many people, how many people with your industry? Do you need to reach out to a hundred people a day? Do you need to reach out to five people? Maybe you need to reach out to two people a day. Have I reached out to this many people? And then have I asked for the sale? Have I asked five people to join me? Now while we're talking, I have some LinkedIn automation going. So let me tell you what's happening while Wayne's doing his podcast. Well, this podcast can be helpful for you, hopefully, but it also would generate business. Okay. There's, there is a monetization to the prosper with Wayne podcast. So maybe you're going look at this and go, Hey, Wayne, I'd love you to coach me on sales or I'd love you to work with my team or It may be, but while I'm doing this, have LinkedIn automation going out, creating some conversations. Now, will I let AI do all of it? No, I'm going jump in there and have real conversations, but it's starting the process. So I have AI doing that. Then I have some cold email going out. Minimal, not big on it as they used to be, but I have email, have LinkedIn. Third, very, very important, I have some meta ads going out. The meta ads, number one, are finding me employees in my local business and number two, They're, capturing email addresses for people in another business. So what am I saying? Why am I telling you all this? Because I have automation going, but I still have to ask for the sale. I have to ask for an opportunity. I saw a quote the other day, it was really good. said, there's no such thing as a close. There's always just the next question. You get to a close, I yes or no. If you always just go to another question, you can get the yes, you can, or you can continue with another question. Really great. I'll teach on that later. But here's the key, what automations, what out, or should I say this, what outreach do you have working for you right now? Number two, have you done any manual outreach today? Content, actual emailing someone, picking the phone, calling someone. Number three, have you asked X amount, one, five, 10, 20 people today to do business with you? Have you asked them, hey, will you do business with me? If so, great. Will you do it every day? The consistency is where wealth is built. Now, So let's take this. you asked, I'm gonna roll this back into real estate. I'm gonna roll this back into real estate. Let's say I'm cold calling. And somebody will go, â I hate cold calling. Listen, it's part of the business for many people. Some very successful multimillionaires have built their business around cold calling. But let's just say you're selling, you wanna list a real estate property, or maybe you wanna sell a gym membership, or maybe you're selling peptides today. Everything changes, right? Whatever it is, you're called 100 people. Let's just say you call 100 people and let's say you have a pickup rate of about 12, 15%. So you get 12, 15 people on the line and all this 12 to 15, you get two to go, okay, I'll talk to you. Do you have numbers? Okay. Two times, let's say five days a week is 10 people that wanted to look at what you had to offer. If you can just sell 20 % of them, you've got about two sales for the week. The numbers will change, but let me share with you the key. is consistency. So back to what I said earlier, can you take four hours a day? Four hours a day. Now, if your business is growing, you may not have four hours, maybe hire somebody, but can you take two? I will say this, even with a successful business, the only time I slow down on marketing, the only time I slow down is we didn't have employees to fill it. Only time I slow down. But when you slow down on marketing, You're going to slow down on what happens now in marketing is what pays you 90 days from now. So even if you have a great business, you need to be doing some form of advertising. Maybe it's just brand awareness. Okay. Maybe you're building a waiting list. So I'm working with one client now and we're literally just building a waiting list. They're like, Wayne, we're booked up. We could take on six more people maybe next, you know, next season and great. Let's build a waiting list. Cause that waiting list does two things. Number one. You can do it with automation. Okay. We can do it very, very low key. can do it for very minimal budget, but the waiting list keeps brand awareness. So when somebody does drop off, we can automatically move somebody into that spot, or we can raise the price of the people we're currently working with. Some will naturally drop off then, and then you can fill the spots and now you've increased revenue. So waiting lists are very important. My point is, have you done outreach today? Automated, manual, have you asked X amount of people? to do business with you today? That's the question. Now, let's jump over to health. It's the same thing in health. So without giving a long story, you can go back and watch one of my previous podcast. I think we've been good with Dr. Bradley Walters, but I went through some serious health issues last year. Now in my improvement, that's what I did. At first I went strict on a strict elimination diet. Okay. I have since. veered off the strictness of that elimination, but I know the power of that elimination. was actually a carnivore. So now my question is, do I want to do that consistently? Maybe not every meal, but I'm very, very, very consistent and there's people that do it strict and I love that, but I'm very, very consistent in daily two of my three meals and sometimes all three meals being an elimination. That means eliminating processed foods, eliminating sugars, eliminating all that. So I'm being I'm moving towards a consistency, but that's okay. So that's consistent in that area. But what about exercise? What about something as simple? And believe me, a year ago, I couldn't even walk around the block, but now I'm like walking. Am I doing that daily? Am I doing it three times a week? Am I doing five times a week? Am I doing like any weightlifting, any resistance training? What am I doing every day for health? What supplements am I taking? What peptides am I taking? What am I not taking? Then your question is, have I exerted energy today towards improving my physical health? The energy could be physical movement. It could be what I'm consuming as far as foods, supplements, et cetera, or what I have pushed away. Understand when you push away a dessert, when you push away bread and pastas when you push that away, that's also for me. That's exercise because I'm exercising my willpower pushing that away What am I doing to improve my health? So think about let's go back to the wealth today I have automation going I have some LinkedIn some cold emails and meta ads have things going there automated. I'm doing this but I'm doing this I'm recording about three videos today I'm doing this podcast which we broke down into reels and this will go out on Apple and it'll go out on You Spotify and YouTube and all that. So that's that's Excess work, okay. So the wealth part I'm working on Now the health part so simple what have I done today to build wealth? What have I done today to build a business to bring value to other people that they in turn pay for? That's a good question. Now. What have I today for my health same question? Okay Share with you. I love this morning. I look at what food I've consumed today has been extremely helpful. Extremely. The food and supplements, there's been nothing, nothing wrong at all. Now, my next thing is have I put any extra energy into maybe some resistance training, cardio? No. So that will be this afternoon. Simple. It's a simple post-it note. Have I done this today? When you have the wealth handled, You're moving towards that way. You're moving towards provision and you take care of your health. â my goodness. You're naturally going to find yourself in a better state of mind. Let's talk about happiness. So happiness for me is happiness with what's happening around me. It's also what's happening within me. Now, as a Christian, I believe that within me is the joy of the Lord, which is something you can't... You can't put your finger on it's just knowing that I'm cared for. Knowing that I have a heavenly creator, a heavenly father that cares for me and directs me and guides me and protects me. That brings joy to me. Now what's happening around me for his emotions, mood, et cetera, I have to be mindful of. have to notice what on a scale from one to 10, I'm saying you're going to be 10 all the time, but a one is like clinically depressed and a 10 is like ecstatic, wide open. Where am I at today? And if I'm anything less than a seven, you some days you're not going to be eight or nine or 10, just reality, life hits, things happen. But if I'm anything less than a seven, I'll say this, need to recognize it. What circumstance is causing that or what circumstance am I allowing myself to use as an excuse to be in a bad mood, to be negative? Okay. what have I done intentionally to increase that? â number one, did I, and let's just be real. Let's just look at what can you do this in happiness. Then I get a good night's sleep. use an Oura ring, not sponsored yet, â but I use an Oura ring. And so that helps me track my sleep. My sleep score was a last night. Got very good sleep. Okay. Exercise, â exercise, which I haven't done yet, but that would increase. Okay. That would increase that happiness, reduces cortisol, increases serotonin, all that fun stuff. So bringing in some exercise would help. Third, what if I watched that? Have I watched, have I watched too much negativity? Have I turned on news? And I don't care what news channel, Fox News, CNN, doesn't matter. Have I turned on and watched too much news? Have I neglected to get into the word of God? And today I have been in the word of I've been praying, I've been reading, so that's good. But then what else can I do to improve that? To improve that mental state of happiness? So, make this real easy. Grab three sticky notes. If you don't have any sticky notes, grab three pieces of paper. Three sticky notes. For our sticky note, we're gonna be wealth. What have I done today? Have I reached out and asked for business? Have I asked five people to do business with me today? 10, one, whatever it may be. Health. Have I exerted energy? Have I watched my food? Have I been careful of making sure I have the right sleep, et cetera? So wealth is intentional, health is intentional. And last, happiness. Have I spent time? For me, it's prayer, for some of it may be meditating. For me, it's time in the word of God, for some of it may be, you know, motivational videos, whatever it may be. Have I spent time in happiness? Am I controlling my external? That's who I communicate with, who I hang out with, who I spend time with. And also, very, very, very important, that third, when it comes to not only what's around me, but what am I allowing in? What books am I reading? What podcast am I listening to? And third, what's an intentional action I can take? What's an intentional action I can take to find happiness? And it could just be finding something to be grateful for. Gratitude journal. Do I keep a gratitude journal? No. Should I? Probably. But I do take time every day and say, Lord, I'm grateful for this. I'm thankful for this. And I spend time thinking, being thankful, being in a place of gratitude for those areas. Now, last but not least, if you have taken, if you've taken time to go through each of those, health, wealth and happiness, let me know in the comments. Let me know whether again, Spotify, Apple, YouTube, wherever you're at, Facebook, drop below, say, hey Wayne, this is what I'm working on today. This is what I'm working on today. And maybe you say, Wayne, I don't know how to do all three at once. Then choose one. Choose one. What's the weakest link? Let's go back to the law of constraints. What's the weakest link? If it's your health, fix your health. If it's your finances, fix your finances. If it's happiness, if it's the state of mind, then work on that. And if you won't help working through any of these areas. Now I use a five step program. Actually it's a five, â five different areas I would call it. We have a program that can help you in health, wealth and happiness. We have personal coaching. When it comes to coaching, do, yes, I do sales, sales training, and fractional sales management. I can work with you in that and we can talk about that. Or. In your own business life and personal life, you're saying, Wayne, I want to coach with you.
