Will regular, steel string acoustic guitar strings work with an electric guitar with a magnetic pickup?
Some people will say “Of course you can’t use acoustic strings on electric guitar”.
But the truth is that you actually can!
Now, it’s not optimal from a playing or sonic perspective, but they will definitely function.
The pickup on the guitar in this video is essentially a P90 like you might find on a Les Paul Jr, a Gibson SG Special, or a Les Paul Special. I know it looks different, but that is what it is!
